Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

On Saturday 29th August, the indefatigable activist Tommy Donnellan of IFPAL (Irish Friends of Palestine Against Lisbon) was arrested on the street in Galway while engaged in legitimate advocacy for the Palestinian cause, and against the Lisbon Treaty that will set in formaldehyde the EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy that is so detrimental to that cause

It`s been a while now,so has the Indefatigable Mr Donnellan been lauguishing in a high-security wing or has the Gard been promoted to the Castle ?

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.

I deeply wish that all posters who choose to offer criticism to this thread would simply read up on the facts before they go off blaming all and sundry for this ridiculous portion of world inadequacies. After learning the facts one mighn't be so quick to jump to improper and untrue conclusions.

Well we all know that didnt happen. It was all a waste of time especially the Garda's handling of the situation but sure thats the level of "service" we can expect from our public servants now. Maybe the Garda had a flu coming on thus explaining his rash behaviour? :p

disgraceful how our right to peaceful assembly is abused by the Gardaí and the only reason is because its radical non-PC way of thinking. Note: the Jewish man was peacefully asked to debate in a quiet matter but he was the one making the scene

wake up people, what rights have we got only those that they let us have, the police/governments worldwide have the power now to lift you from your spot and do with you what they like under their anti terrorism/criminal gang laws, the whole system sucks and ya better get used to it cos we will soon have less and less freedom to do anything other than go to work, spend your money, stay indoors and don't cause a fuss. we know what's best for all of you.

off to watch American gladiators now woo hoo :)
