Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,

I'm thinking of going to spin classes, however the majority of classes in my gym are 45 mins, there is one for 30 mins (once a week). For someone who wouldn't be used to it and not the fittest, would you recommend the 30 mins class to start with or just go along to the 45 mins and see how it goes?

I've been to spin classes before - but being years ago.
My fittest level atm, would be doing 5k 3/4 days a week on a treadmill which takes around 30 mins.

Go to the 45mins one imo. You are limited by how hard you can go don't forget, so you keep moving as well as you can through the 45 minutes.

You can make your life pretty easy or pretty hard in a spin class, depends on the resistance you put on the bike and how fast you move. You can "fool" the instructor into thinking you have more resistance on, or you can go 90% which looks similar to 100% but at the end of the day its only yourself your kidding.

45 minutes is not that long, yeah you will be dripping in sweat and have wobbly legs but that's the aim of the game.

^ as above. Go to the 45 minute class. Keep going, and if you find it tough don't drop down to the 30 minute class, keep plugging away and you'll be able for it after a few classes. It's meant to be tough, but it's a great workout if you put your all into it. Best of luck
