Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Minerals still on offer in Letterkenny, as well as loads of toys, some lego sets(but herself already has them all)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,862 ✭✭✭✭January

Only Sprite and Pepsi left in Tesco Clearwater when I went down this morning. Was nuts, all the brand name minerals shelves bare and all Tesco/Country Spring etc minerals left on the shelves!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,577 ✭✭✭✭TheDriver

Tesco mallow had lots of everything last night and today with staff filling up the shelves. No one seemed to be buying the crap out of it either. Having said that, how many litres of soft drinks do you really want available in the house........

If it says on the website that an offer is valid until 16/12/2013 - does that include the 16th?

  • Registered Users Posts: 31 maggiewhite

I picked up a 2 pound Supervalu pudding for €3.50 a couple of weeks ago. Yuletide log is probably worth picking up for 95c.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,191 ✭✭✭✭RobbingBandit

I always wait until Christmas week to get the puddings,75% off the marked price in Tesco.

Should be even nicer, they taste really good the longer they mature.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,191 ✭✭✭✭RobbingBandit

The store bought puddings always have a use by date of at least two years on them, if you put whiskey in it and have had it sealed in a tub all year it should be ok to eat check it for mould, give it taste first if it is dodgy bin it and bake a new one.

Saw them in Wexford for 95c on the aisle shelf underneath where the Xmas puddings, mince pies etc. are.

BTW a box of 6 mince pies are 99c also.

Just back from Dunnes. Most notable deals are the brussel sprouts, carrots, pineapples, watermelons & clemantines for 6 cent each. Similar to the Aldi deal which was 9 cent each.

    24 x slabs of Guinness & Budweiser for €23!

And then €2.75 for a 10kg bag of Irish washed & ready to use Roosters! As seen below:

The roosters would be a rip off at the 8c. They're a horrible spud.

I would personally strongly disagree with that :p Rooster is one of my favourite all rounder spud that's good for roasting, mash, chipping etc. Minimal preparation required also. Personal preference, horses for courses etc.

Maris pipers also make a great chip, but they are v. hard to get in Ireland.

(btw Aldi do a very nice maris piper oven chip :pac:)
