Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have i missed something? I taught veronica cawley was running as an independent but she isnt on the list for sligo leitrim

    Couple of points.

Constituency maps are wrong. I chose Dublin South and it highlighted all of Dublin county.

Secondly: The official ballot hasn't been finalised yet!!
This will basically screw up all you results and I suggest locking this vote thing until the ballots are finalised.

    Noel O'Flynn is not running
Ted Tynan and Mick Barry are listed as independents when in fact they are members of the Socialist party.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,966 ✭✭✭ayjayirl

Really good idea and looks easy to use - one thing though, you are missing at least one candidate for Longford/Westmeath. Donal Jackson is running as an independent.

    Looks great though.

Dublin North-East candidate list is incorrect. Brian Greene is listed twice, once as a Socialist candidate and once as an independent. I assume that this is an issue carried over from TheJournal.ie's incorrect list?

Is ted Tynan not Workers party?

Mick Barry is Socialist party, I came on here to point out the same mistake.
They also have no photo of him. Why is that?

    Good idea :)

FYI Mayo is missing a candidate, Lisa Chambers for FF

    You talking about our poll??

If so, we took as much as we could from The Journals list of candidates and scraped as much as we could off the net too. If we missed something, it was only time which forced the error.

I'm going to start a thread for "error spotting" and please post on that to let us know. We will rectify asap.

    DeV.

Jonathan Rainey appearing as an independent candidate - think that should be Monaghan.

  • Business & Finance Moderators, Entertainment Moderators Posts: 32,387 Mod ✭✭✭✭DeVore

If you see something which needs fixing or is listed incorrectly, please post here and the lads will try to fix them.

    Thanks for your help!!

Ted Tynan should be 'Workers party', also has no Photo

Noel O Flynn is not running.

    Joe Higgins has no photo.

    Mistake in Carlow-Kilkenny

Conor MacLiam is listed twice, once as Independent and once and Socialist Party. Seems he should be Socialist Party.

Not any more - the constituencies are now "Limerick" and "Limerick City", following the most recent electoral boundary changes.

They're not perfect, but if you would like to point out anything large, please do. :)
I chose Dublin South and it highlighted all of Dublin county.
Clicking on this will bring to to a map of Dublin with each constituency shown.
Secondly: The official ballot hasn't been finalised yet!!
This will basically screw up all you results and I suggest locking this vote thing until the ballots are finalised.
People will be able to review their choices.

The constituencies were re-named in the boundary review. Indeed part of west County Limerick is now associated with North Kerry as Kerry North-Limerick West.

    He can be added.

Thanks very much folks. All these posts are being collated into emails for the team and we're rectifying all mistakes as we go.

It is the weekend, so there mightn't be any updates until Monday.

Add a table detailing party (column) by constituency (43 rows + national total). This would allow easier comparison between constituencies.

Should be done as the parties' percentages* in each constituency. Rows should add to 100%, but columns should not add.

    * Possibly to be converted to number of seats in due course.

Most of the Workers' Party candidates are listed as being Independents. Councillor Ted Tynan (Workers' Party, Cork North Central) has his name spelled wrong - it is TYNAN, not Tyan.

    Workers' Party has 6 candidates:-

Cllr. Ted Tynan (Cork North Central)
    Malachy Steenson (Dublin Central)
    Mick Finnegan (Dublin Mid West)
    John Dunne (Dublin North West)
    Seamus McDonagh (Meath West)
    Joe Tobin (Waterford)

all but Joe Tobin are for some reason listed as Independent.

    Your voting survey needs updating.

Michael Kilcoyne wouldn't be my choice but he is very popular.

Regarding voting - it looks to me, (I could be wrong) a Boardsie can vote in one or all constituencies, is this voting wide open to abuse!

Someone here could be affiliated with a party and go and vote for all there party candidates around the country!
