Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Picked up a set of these in CPW Sligo yesterday..

    SODRBTN200W.jpg
    Carphone Warehouse

White may be not everyone's preference in the colour of headphones but can't deny they sound superb for the money.

Plus volume control and remote control on it work perfectly with my Nexus 4 - when using Spotify etc.

Currently £42 from Amazon, €55 from Argos, €119 direct from Sony and €112 from Pixmania.

EDIT: They seem to be €99.99 on website but were definitely €29.99 in-store yesterday. Maybe worth giving them a call as there was 4 - 5 in the Sligo branch.

I picked them up about 2 weeks ago for 30. The price seems to be going up and down from 100 to 30. I wouldn't pay 100 for them but they're well worth the 30 euro.

Bought them with vouchers in argos for ~50 quid a few months back. They're fantastic. Amazing battery life, I charge mine once every 2 weeks. And the sound quality is perfectly fine too. The joy of not having any cables to worry about is the best bit.

Yeah, could be just on website though. Bought yesterday at €29.99 in-store and there were a few more priced at that behind counter too.

    Pity they're only in white!
    Be nice in black/blue/red.

Just reserved mine. The colour is a bit off putting but I'll only be using these around the house so what harm.. haven't got a bargain alert for a good while aswell so Cheers!

Thanks just reserved mine aswell thanks didnt need them but got them anyway :)

I was pleasantly surprised with mine, got them about three months ago. It was weeks of usage before I had to charge them. Haven't used them too much the last 2-3 weeks but I've charged them once since I got them around the start of March. Sound quality is great for the price, they're strong enough and comfortable. Protective case is nice as well, buttons on the side are dead handy.

At €30 if say these are a must buy, even if you don't really need them. I like the white colour, but I only use them around the house.

I'd imagine you could pick up a USB Bluetooth adapter in dealz or the like for €1.49 and it'd work that way

Can anyone confirm these cheap Bluetooth adapters would work for music streaming?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,169 ✭✭✭✭ED E

If they're bluetooth v3.0 or later they'll support A2DP streams aka all music. Should say on the box. Take a punt at €2 if they dont say :pac:

Ordered a pair for collection from liffey Valley. Got a confirmation email but doesn't say when I can collect.

  • Registered Users Posts: 357 ✭✭DanC90

Would definitely recommend these, I have them almost 3 months now and use them a lot but so far I've only had to charge them twice in that time.

The sound quality is great for the price and the built in controls work perfectly.

Nice headphones for the price. Build quality is decent and sound quality is fine for the price/bluetooth (bass isnt great), but battery life is excellent and the carry bag is well made.

They have a few in Liffey Valley too.

Those Bluetooth adapters in dealz are only Bluetooth v2 so I take it they won't work then?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,359 ✭✭✭Access

Have two pairs of these for the kids since the BA of this back at the start...

They are brilliant for the money, way cheaper then Amazon, solid and no problems.

The only thing i would say and like others have previously said, is that they do hurt your ears if you wear them for a long time (2hrs+) - but this is only a minor complaint.

Was thinking about getting some headphones and then saw this thread, must be fate so would have been rude not to. Grabbed a pair in Carrick on Shannon, loads left in stock too. Thanks for the heads up.
