Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The media attention and the rally will have NOTHING to do with street crime, it will be the usual bleeding heart 'racist' witch hunting session where native Irish will be lambasted as violent bigoted nazis while the minority African community will be portrayed as innocent fluffy law abiding victims. A vision which is completely at odds with reality..

And a few cars and shops will probably get destroyed in the process by said innocent fluffy law abiding victims.

When the trial is over and their is definitive evidence of a racial attack then have the rally..

    +1.

To be honest I can't see what a rally will achieve besides giving the attackers a hand in court by playing the "trial by media and angry mob" card.

I can see the point of that if it was genuine and colourblind.

It's not though and that's the problem.

When it is only applied to BLACK victims is where the problem arises.

You dont enforce a feeling of harmony and racial equality on society by discriminating against the white victims of crime or by elevating black victims of crime to near sainthood while all but ignoring white victims. It's pure total sickening hypocrisy by the left. in my honest opinion. It's a bandwagon for trendies to jump on - there is no genuine morality or compassion in any of this it's an opportunity for the advancement of hard left agendas while simultaneously downplaying the white victims of crime by focusing solely on the black.
Totally agree. It's just the trendies and tree huggers just waiting for an excuse to chant lefty slogans, sing Micheal Jackson songs about loving everyone in the world etc.

You produce evidence that people at this rally destroy cars or shops, and I'll donate €10 to a charity of your choosing.

If you can't, all I ask is that you donate to an anti-racism charity. ;)

I think we should organise a rally against diesel laundering and cattle smuggling. Just to give your username a run for it's money.

This is the most sensible argument against a rally that's been articulated thus far. If people just said 'it won't achieve anything, and might in fact help the perpetrators get off' rather than ranting about hidden agendas, the equality industry and the trotskyists, more sympathetic but practical people would listen.

Exactly. To be honest I couldn't give a toss about any little rallies such groups may wish to have, but if it influences the outcome of a fair trial then it is wreckless and irresponsible.

Won't exactly do the poor lad who was killed any good/justice imo.

    ;)

This is a shin-digs for the neo liberal lefties to get on about how they are lynching Blacks in the Wild Wild West...about how our modern greed and racism is ruining everything....

Bottom line...what we've got here is a couple of scumbags who, with no backing from anyone other than their own scummy intellects, performed a heinous act. Now I cannot say that in public without interfering with the rights of the accused, but we all know this is what happened.

There is no "total collapse"...there is no "ghetto"...there is no "interracial violence".....on the scale the Trots want us to believe.
The 'trots' as you put it aren't up to that at all. The purpose of the rally is to highlight the tragic waste caused by this death and to try and cut across any potential growth in racism in the area. These things happen but we'll see more such incidents I' afraid thanks to the economic crisis.

Btw would you like to show a few examples of 'trots' saying things like those I've highlighted? Just so we know your not talkin through your hole like

Awesome, an indymedia link, the gold standard of reportage :pac: . No, my furry friend I knew about that vigil, that was the local working class folk showing empathy with men who should never have died in their area. Same reason that the president attended their funeral's. It wasn't the banner brigade looking to turn an atrocity into an opportunity.

The local working class community who turned out to a rally organised by a trot sounds a bit like whats planned for tomorrow so. Its seeking to raise the issue but imo there's precious little political capital to be made out of something like this for any group.

t's alleged 2 racist idiots took a knife out and stabbed some innocent child for racist purposes, if that's true then it's horrific and the racially aggravated element of the crime should be enough to put them away forever. I'd be very happy to see justice done.

As for the march itself though, if individuals/groups are actually marching to the Dáil in "protest" at the killing, getting up on their high horse, then I have to say I'm extremely insulted and a little bit angry as should every right thinking person in this country at these individuals and groups. Some of these types will try to portray this as an example of everything which is wrong in this country, ie we have a very serious racist attack problem, which is insulting and untrue. I had a look at Stormfront Ireland's website earlier, even the racists over there accept that an attack on a defenceless child is completely unacceptable.

I know the stated purpose of the march is a memorial and marching for social cohesion, which is fine, best of luck to them and I hope they get a good turnout on that basis. It's a good opportunity to spread that idea.

I just hope those who attend and the groups who may be thinking of climbing up on their very high horse and looking down on society (which I find ironic as these groups are there for ordinary people yet always find reasons to piss down on just about everyone who isn't them for various reasons) will understand that this was an isolated incident, carried about by unrepresentative scum. These attacks are not common place. Nobody is "under attack". It actually seems to be that, at least amongst the younger people, there is an encouraging level of cohesion between the different communities in D15.

Growth in racism howarya. Ireland must be the one of the least racist countries on earth. From 2004 to 2006 the population of the country jumped by 10%, try that anyplace else and you'll see riots in the street, and indeed there have been race riots on the streets of many of our European neighbours. Irish people in my experience take people as they come and judge each on their individual merits, with the exception of the odd few who are all too happy to assign blame for their own shortcomings on immigrants, a phenomenon you'll find anywhere.

Nail on the head, there's no social good or well meaning group of people these yahoos won't try to graft their 19th century belief system onto.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,380 ✭✭✭geeky

Here's a crazy thought - before confidently predicting that trotskyites will use a tragedy to advance their socialist agenda, or that 'equality industry' beards will dominate, or even that we'll see cars and shops destroyed in the march, how about we reserve judgement until it actually happens?

I've my own reservations about the march and what it will achieve, but some of the stuff being spouted here is just utter nonsense.

How about you link to the actual verdict reports ?

It has been said that the accused was found not guilty when CCTV of him was shown elsewhere at the same time. Not that anyone linked to that either mind you.

I never said it was alright to stab anyone let alone a 15 year old. I said there were two sides to the story - and the second side shows it to be not the clear cut racist incident it has been depicted as. Will send you a PM of course but again to be clear I am not condoning the stabbing in any way.
