Guys would anyone be able to tell me roughly where volunteer/crew camping is? Is it far away from everywhere else or is it grand??

Probably the Body & Soul crew camp, anyone involved with B&S gets their accreditation there too, you drive through Stradbally and you turn right at the Richard Dunne pub I think, drive straight up until you see the sign for the GAA area, normally there is always a specialised security guy there too, bright yellow day glo at the turn. Thats into the crew camp and car park, there will be more security and stewards further in to direct you. When you are parked up and tent pitched or campervan set up, you walk out the other end up another road which is mainly for resident and festival security vehicles only. Cross the main road and you go through a gap in the wall through the forest called staff entrance, Body & Soul staff dubbing it Hole in the wall entrance. Festival Republic volunteers, my crew get to stay in the Body & Soul crew camp for the advanced weeks duration, quite a lot move on into the Hendrix site on Thursday night, but you don't need to do that. I stayed on in the crew camp and it was great, could be a long walk back at night but it was grand if you were flying anyway. :)

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

When is the absolute latest that you could arrive and expect a decent camping spot ?

What are the "best" areas to aim for ?

Inside info.... Shane McGowan making an appearance on salty dog on Saturday ssshhhhhh :-)

Shane MacGowan broke his pelvis apparently...

Can we assume this appearance may not be happening now? ;)

This has most likely been answered previously but managed to get my hands on a vip ticket, does anyone know of the privileges that come with it?

    Less than a week now!
    Thanks :)

VIP and Guest used to be slightly different, i think these might have changed so im not sure it will be the same set up as previous years

none from EP is what I meant, they've announced plenty of other acts individually over the last few weeks.

Question for you lads, has the Red Bull bar in the main arena always been there or is it a new addition this year? A couple of friends are DJing at it over the weekend and just wondering what to expect as I've never even noticed it in the past two years. Looks to be beside the Casa Bacardi.

Cheers lads got the camping chair sorted in eurogiant.

For anyone who didn't manage to get the power bank in aldi, eurogiant have a few different sized ones I picked up a 7800 mAh for €15 and they have a 10000 mAh one for €20. Few smaller ones available too!
