Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think it's more to do with the thought of one of them running up your leg, or landing on your face. I never even thought about them biting.

No, for me it's the fact that they might crawl under my skin and lay eggs.

'Harmless' or not, they can still bite. Arachnophobia is one of the commonest phobias, it's an ancestral fear as all spiders are venomous and many are dangerous

    Goat/pig/Cow/horse in a blender. Yup.

Mod note - fairly graphic and might be distressing to animal lovers

    <snip>

That's the most upsetting video I've ever seen. Almost 40 people were involved.

I think it's important to understand the brutality that exists where repression is happening

Mod: I'm sorry. That is too graphic for here. Its a video of a man being burned alive in mob justice.

You know whats really NOPE? A lot of the Deep web.

Amen to that. The most NOPE thing I've ever seen was on there and it was only a sentence, a forum discription. I did not click through.

On a brighter note! Imagine Trey Parker and Matt Stone are given complete free reign to create a series of flash animations with zero censorship? Not even close. It got canned after two episodes. NSFW:

Kinda surprised Salad Fingers only got one mention and no Mention of Chris Cuningham's video for Aphex Twin's Rubber Jonny either...

I'd love to hear how you came to that conclusion?

Because it doesn't look like and the EXIF data disagrees with you.

It doesn't look like a photoshop but certainly doesn't look like the stiletto went throught the foor either. There's no blood, no swelling and the foot would look mangled due to the displacement of metatarsels

I have seen wounds like that where swelling and bleeding will only start once the object is removed.

You actually can see blood around the wound. As far as I know this is genuine from a source who's normally first to call bullsh1t on these things. And to me although its not discoloured the foot does look swollen.

I agree with you. Was directing that to the people calling photoshop.

Not an insect but: Naegleria fowleri:

In humans, N. fowleri can invade the central nervous system via the nose (specifically through the olfactory mucosa and cribriform plate of the nasal tissues). The penetration initially results in significant necrosis of and hemorrhaging in the olfactory bulbs. From there, the amoebae climbs along nerve fibers through the floor of the cranium via the cribriform plate and into the brain. The organism begins to consume cells of the brain piecemeal by means of a unique sucking apparatus extended from its cell surface. It then becomes pathogenic, causing primary amoebic meningoencephalitis (PAM or PAME). PAM is a syndrome affecting the central nervous system. PAM usually occurs in healthy children or young adults with no prior history of immune compromise who have recently been exposed to bodies of fresh water.

Amphotericin B is effective against N. fowleri in vitro, but the prognosis remains bleak for those that contract PAM, and survival remains less than 1%.

    That's not an insect, it's a parasite.

If you want to go down that route there are plenty of worms and amobae than can cross your blood brain barrier and get into your brain
