Might have better luck in the sailing forum.
I think some universities like DCU or TCD have rowing clubs. There's a rowing club as you head out of town towards chapolizard as well (can't think of the name).
There's also a link for IARU

Try Neptune or Commercial at Islandbridge, if you are not in a university.
    Look at other posts here.

    Dublins a big place ;)
I know theres a rowing club that operates out of Dun Loaghaire, they have a 'premises' in the harbour boat yard.
I think there is also one that operates out of howth and possibly malahide. If you get on the respective harbours they might be able to give you an idea.

I go jogging down down the walkway by Islandbridge and Neptune and UCD have massive clubhouses.

It's a great area and the place is full of rowers every Sunday morning.
And the coaches cycling alongside giving abuse encouragement

    Looks great fun

There's coastal rowing too, for something a little different. Growing in popularity it seems.

I would reccommend coastal rowing. The boats are sturdier...have been rowing with a team in Wexford for the last 10 years and reccommend it to every one...

Contact Dublin Municipal Rowing Center on 677 0074, ask for Gar. They will put you right if you explain what you are looking for.

I rowed East Coast Skiffs. Great rowing, ended up rowing across the Irish Sea in one. Interesting tradition and heritage in Dublin.

I know that Commercial Rowing Club in Islandbridge carry out a recruitment drive during August-October every year (i.e after the regatta season has finished).

If you're already a serious adult athlete (e.g. marathon runner, tri-athlete, etc), Commercial have the coaching resources all year round to get you started.

I am far from a seasoned athlete but I play some GAA. Are there any requirements for Rowing ? Id love to take it up to be honest
