Hey guys, need some data for a college project thingy...

So what Browser do you use and why?!

    Edit -

College Mentor = why no Opera on poll.

If your a Opera user, just post 'Opera+1' and I will include it in the score.

Opera 10 for sheer speed. Nothing matches it.
Firefox for class add-ons and flash block utilities.
Microsoft Explorer ONLY as an absolute last restort.

IE. Tried firefox and it seemed to clash with msn so I uninstalled it. Maybe it was a coincidence but I put the problem down to firefox.

I'm accustomed to Firefox, have been for the past 4 years or so, but I really should change since I've seen the bloody thing use more memory in the task manager than a medium-spec computer game I tabbed out of.

    Christ.

Firefox, because I hate Safari and I'm too lazy to try Chrome or Opera.

Crome, does exactly what it says on the tin. Even firefox is a fat bloated mess now. Chrome works instantly I've noticed firefox hangs a bit when I open it, only use IE when I'm forced to.

As mentioned above (with link), try Opera Ten!
Be prepare to be surprised. :)
Friggin' fast and also has a new software ability for slower old pc's too to speed up even more. Awesome app.

Chrome because IE8 drove me to it and I'm glad it did :)
It's noticeably faster and has hardly any compatibility issues.

    Firefox.

Have Firefox, IE, Chrome, Opera and Safari installed though.

Don't really like the look of chrome so I don't use it and I don't use Safari for much the same reason.

And using IE is too dangerous to bother with imo.

I expect you really look forward to powering up your machine, after you've arrived home after walking twenty miles from school with no shoes and the arse hanging out of your trousers.

Firefox... I've been using it for years, and have become familiar with shortcuts, etc., that make browsing effortless! I tried Chrome briefly and found myself getting frustrated that some Firefox things didn't work on it! eg. I couldn't drag and drop tabs into favourites. Opera is good too, but no reason to change Firefox at this stage.

    IE is horrid.

Firefox, because it was light-years ahead of the steam-powered IE when I started using it. I believe IE have upped their game since, and I really like Chrome's interface, but I'm used to Firefox now so it's here to stay.

It also has innumerable add-ins, some of them useful, most of them pretty pointless - gotta catch 'em all!

I use Firefox for day to day stuff, and chrome for the dodgy stuff I don't want my missus to find out about ¬_¬ (she gets suspicious whenever I clear my firefox browsing history)

Use Chrome most of the time. It really does'nt compare to IE or Firefox, I find it in a different league. Love the uncluttered look of it too. Have'nt tries Opera yet, though if i'm honest. I use IE from time to time because Chrome doesnt support some plug-ins

I do. And.... get this - my machine only takes 10 minutes from pressing the on switch to being in full operational mode.

What a time to be alive!
