    why oh why are guys who find girls wearing ugg boots off putting? they are boots! they are suppose to keep a girl's feet warm that's the main purpose not to make a poor lad chase them like they would a skirt! There aren't as many around cause its summer but then again a nippy day would see them appear by the new time! definitely in for the winter me thinks! they are popular and fashionable too and sensible if you don't mind me saying! i find great comfort in them. now i do admit that some ugg boots don't look as nice as others but there have been ones in the shops that are lovely. i like me feet to be cosy! :cool:

    That is fair enough, but the lads are discussing a stereotype, the badly bleached blonde hair, the mini skirt, the fake tan, the sense of self satisfaction. Ring a bell?

    ah ok. so they expect girls to wear heels or someting? :confused: does it matter if girls wear ugg boots regardless of their stereotype! i'm a brunette! many girls wear ugg boots who aren't the stereotype! I know lads might think it looks silly for the stereotype to wear ugg boots but its not a big a deal if they wish the stereotype to satisfy a man's google eyes if girls wear a differnt type of footwear! if girls wore slippers outside in their stereotypical look would guys comment on that? if girls wore hiking boots and the likes would that be the case too? its called fashion thats why they wear ugg boots! stereotypical girls are who they are cause of confidence, how they want to be and to be fashionable its not always to please a man!

    When the weather was really cold I used to wear fleece socks under my Ugg boots.

    Yes but when you have thousands of people wearing the same colour and looking exactly like everyone else, it takes away from the argument that they are simply doing it for comfort. A bit of originality is refreshing.

    Ugg boots are one of those fashion "craze" disasters like flares in the 70s, leg warmers in the 80s, tiny little rucksacks in the 90s and people will cringe at seeing photos of them in the stupid clobber years from now. Good riddance...

    That's where you're wrong. Any complaint, ailment or general whinge has to be rang into the Joe Duffy show. It's the law.

    I dunno. The whole knitted oul wan shuffling along vibe. If you're gonna do Uggs, do the originals - black or chocolate. The tan ones are common as muck.

    I actually don't mind ugg boots on girls. Definitely more attractive than stilettos or other such uncomfortable-looking footwear women tend to wear.

    May I ask why people hate these boots so much? I don't have a problem with them at all. I mean, I don't like the look of them but it doesn't annoy me or anything :P
