Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

where did I say anyone who follows the kid is mental, :(

Its no more or less likely really than any other tipster. Kid doesn't stick to one type of race anyway, he just tends to back things coming down in the handicap. Segal picks horses in big field TV handicaps because he has to. The kid is just as likely to go on a long losing run as tom segal or any other tipster is. Calling people mental for following a tipster who has the possibility of going on a long losing run is madness because that's exactly what people are doing here.

likely to do something and someone already having done it are two different things.
It does not matter what races they back in pricewise has already proven he goes on losing runs of 38 or more, the kid has n't.

But that doesn't increase or decrease the probability/possibility of it happening.

a question for you and only a one name answer.

If I was to give you €5k tomorrow and said you must put €100 on either

Pricewise or the kids next 50 bets and you can keep all returns

Who would you follow, don't forget just the name answer. please.

It's more like being mental NOT to follow the kid,:-D

Haha, you're a great man setting your own parameters to suit you argument. The kid is free to have a selection in any race he chooses, tom segal is not. The parameters are not the same, therefore not a good comparison, which is what I have been trying to say.

Don't forget poor old pricewise has to pick from the televised handicaps unlike the kid who can have a 2pt e/w in the 8.30 at wolverhamton on a friday night.

The above was four days ago,
its a simple question, which one?

So you are backing up my point? Obviously you pick the punter who can back wherever he so pleases. That has absolutely no bearing on a run of winners or losers, though.

Your clueless if you think that, we will leave it at that.

    Good luck with your punting

Explain? The possibility/probability of a run of losers is much the same for both punters. One can back where he wishes, one has a finite amount of races he can back in, and the decision is made for him. The decision is simple.

one backs in a race where he feels/thinks he has a angle in
the other is told pick the winner of this 20 runner 5f sprint as its on channel 4

The possibility/probability of a run of losers is much the same for both punters.
No it is not the same, thats like saying all races are the same and there is no angle in any of them, slow pace, bad draw, jockey, they all matter.

    Irish National...Home Farm 2pt e/w 11/1
    Yarmouth 2.25 Indus Valley 2pts e/w 8/1
    Yarmouth 3.00 Bretherton 2pts e/w 10/1

the kid has a sense of humour, 8pts risked at fooking Yarmouth of all places, if one of them is not placed we will drop 12pts from the bank.

I am not knocking anyone Del Roy so don't take this the wrong way. Your mate is pretty good over a life time I will take your word for it. However price wise does not have the option of picking any race to bet on simply the 8.30 in Wolverhampton is not an option. You made a point on getting prices that pricewise advises is it not because price wise picked them the price goes. I don't know who is better but be fair to pricewise he is picking or be made pick the most competitive races. Also he is there a long time while a lot of pretenders have come and gone. Your mate is good but that does not mean automatically he is better than price wise.

del, just wondering what happens on the 9th of may, does the kid give it up or is there any chance he can keep going .??
fearful of going back trying to back my own winners.

    Micky
Price wise is going about 20 years with 5 or 6 different people at the helm and they all have had losing runs, I think one of them went to 42 without a winner. I most certainly am not suggesting the kid is better than price wise however his whole structure of the way he selects them and his staking plan is impressive, his 5 and 4 point bets alone would have produced a return (following his staking plan)some services in the Uk would be very happy with. He seems to be able to feel when some horses have everything in their favour to run a big one and bets accordingly.

Also mick don't forget and I am not only stating this now, it's been said earlier in the thread, this is only his 5th year punting, to get a grasp of everything in under 5 years is....well in my opinion shows he can/will be up there with the best of them soon.

    Eugene
Sorry to say he is stopping the 9th may that was the arrangement.

There was a forfeit stage today and he wasn't left in it by the trainer. Presumably he backed him before the forfeit stage as if he was left in the price would most likely shorten. I am afraid the bet is a loser.

Del (if you don't mind me asking) what are you betting to a point?

Even with a clean skybet a/c I don't know anyone who can get a bet to win much with them (day of the race at Cheltenham the exception but still not a whole ton).

2pts ew at 33s returns 41.25pts profit. You'd be lucky to get a score ew at 33s with em in my experience

If you don't want to disclose fair enough, a man's stakes are his own business!

    No problem mate
I am betting €40 a point and like you I laughed at the kid when he said what he had on with each book however he was on the ball how to do it but if you don't mind I will pm you after this thread is finished, you will find it very funny as it invovles my five sisters and 1 brother, the sh!t I had to do to get a few bob out of them bookies plus numberous accounts closed.
    one after winning just €612.

You don't have to win big to have an account closed or restricted.
It's consistently taking money off them that'll do it. And it doesn't have to be a lot either.

Doesn't even have to be a winning account if you're losing but beating SP

While Spoils are the lowest common denominator I know one lad who backed an 8/11 shot with them was was 1/2ish everywhere else. price was way off

    Bet Lost.

    Account closed after one bet

Someone on here said the bookies don't bother with threads like this, I find that hard to be believe because I have had accounts closed with very little winnings that were linked to this thread, two on the same day after dr Finley won 9/2.

I find power and bet365 were the best during this little project.

Why would betfair close an account, you are betting with other punters and the more you bet the more commission you pay and the more Betfair make?

well true, but i was referring to the sportsbook part(same as other bookmakers) the exchange is different, but now thats another point-will u be able to get on consistent bets on the exchange? if so,then no problem
