Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Diet before Gall Bladder Removal

    Hi There,

My girlfriend has recently been told she'll need her gallbladder removed but has to suffer for at least another 30 days due to inflammation.

I was hoping somebody would have an example of similar experiences and if they could shed a little light on their diet during the experience as we are trying to devise healthy meal plans that wont cause any discomfort.

    Cheers,

    Nate

Absolutely no fat whatsoever. Any fat eaten could cause it to start up again

Avoid cheese and chocolate like the plague! Keep it simple, soups, salads, lots of veg, chicken & fish. No creamy dressings or sauces, grill don't fry, baked potatoes no roasties or chips, takeaways are out. Avoid fatty meats, sausages and the like.

It's only 30 days and the pain means no food is worth it.. On the upside, I haven't had a days trouble since I got mine out. Good luck with the op
