Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How do you know that penguins don't feel heartbreak too? Don't penguins keep the same mate for years on end?

The breeding issue could easily be solved using IVF and collecting the penguin's sperm.

How do you know they do?

Look this has been wrapped up as an LGBT issue when its not. Its actually a conservation issue and has nothing to do with homosexuals or discrimination.

IVF you say... but don't penguins form breeding pairs to raise their young? In this instance perhaps IVF is inappropriate? Perhaps the zookeepers want them to mate naturally? There is a whole host of reasons for it, and quite frankly its none of the gay lobbys business.

Incidentally the article also reports that the birds will be reunited afterwards. What is the fuss?

Apes show emotions akin to ours; you have to remember, we're animals too.

    Do penguins?

Truth is we cannot determine how animals feel, if they have feelings or emotions at all beyond primal instincts. Since its clear no other species has developed the skills of humans, it is also likely they do not have the same emotional depth and intelligence also.
