Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

True, the best year of motoring I ever had in my life. I guess if I would be on my own I could work around if and love with it. You can't do that when you got misses...

    I need new misses :D

    Skyline> Mrs ShadowHearth....

Nah, its cool, we had a talk about it and it is best way for us, even if i dont want to sell it, it is a right choice, but you know how it goes for us men with petrol head desease, its like choping off one of your jewels. on an up side after sale i will add more money and will try to find something more sensible to replace my bangornomics ford.

My GF thinks I'm mad looking to spend around double the price of my car on wheels and tyres. I tell her that because I paid so little for it that I can spend a bit extra, she just doesn't get it.

    Womens...

Best way I can think to explain it is like this:

you: How much would you spend on a dress?

Her: X amount (probably under €50)

you: And how much would you spend on makeup, shoes, nail polish, your hair, necklace/bracelets, tights, handbag, basically everything else to make it look nice?

Her: (insert multiple of X amount)

You: Exactly! Now make me a sammich

I probably spend the same amount on clothes and makeup as I do on petrol. Nothing worse than having to top up oil after I've just done my nails :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,721 ✭✭✭✭CianRyan

Then the obvious answer would be not to bother getting your nails done! :D

Yep, only ever cut myself shaving when it actually matters!

The chances of cutting yourself when shaving seem to be directly related to the colour of your shirt. Wearing a white shirt? You're gonna bleed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,930 ✭✭✭✭challengemaster

Chances of cutting yourself shaving seem pretty impossible using an electric razor :D

That said, I only ever cut myself shaving twice, the first time was the first time ever shaving, and the second was when I was rushing like an idiot. Not bad considering I always dry shaved

Oh you can cut yourself with an electric razor, I have done it while not paying attention.

Yes, it an OT thread in the Motors forum.

    Not the Ladies Lounge.

We've said it numerous times before that this crap talk is spreading throughout other threads.

Im going to see My youngest daughter in a talent show tonight (they picked 3 kids from each local school, she's very talented you know;) gets it from me.....obviously)

    She ordered me to

    1) wash my car.

    2) shave and get a haicut.

    3) if i dont dress smart im not allowed in:p

She's 10. Some poor bloke is in trouble in a couple of years:eek:

Well then it should not be called the Off Topic thread. It should be called the "Random Car Talk Thread". There is nothing in the charter to state what can and cannot be talked about within this thread, as long as it is within the general Boards rules. While I agree that stopping all the flirting was a good move, this is still an OT thread

There is no charter for this thread, it's at mods discretion.

MetzgerMeister would be proud that alfa is finally clean :D

Well if the mods discretion in this thread is going to be different than general mods discretion on all other OT threads, it needs a charter.
Any other forum I have posted in on boards which has an OT thread, is used as a complete OT thread. Only things that aren't to be talked about are those which are part of the general Boards rules. You don't see any OT threads in other forums where mods actually tell you to talk about the topic of that forum with the OT thread

    Easy decision then, thread closed.
