Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Demented Promotions and Ouija in association with Tower Live Presents:
Agnostic Front (US)
Nuclear Blast
(http://www.myspace.com/agnosticfront)
"Legendary Hardcore/Thrash titans, AGNOSTIC FRONT, are back with another testament to the bands flawless legacy! Recorded at the now infamous Planet Z Studios in Hadley Massachusetts by Zeuss (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall), Warriors is the yet another landmark in hardcore’s history. Produced this time around by vocalist Roger Miret’s little brother, Freddy Cricien (Madball, Hazen Street), the bands message of family and unity has never come across stronger in their music. Warriors is a statement of strength in the face of adversity and few bands make a statement louder than AGNOSTIC FRONT.
In today’s civilization, people continue to suffer undergoing the grief, corruption, oppression and exploitation without a way to elude their troubles. Many have lived through these problems for ages, and the moment one tries to fight for what they believe is right, the elite brings them down and their voices are disregarded. For over a decade, AGNOSTIC FRONT has helped get these messages across to the populace to help solve these problems through socially driven music known as “hardcore.” In their latest offering, the band gives power and strength to these ignored voices. As one of the original hardcore bands that lived and breathed the problems that controlled their everyday New York City lifestyle since 1983, they have been amongst the most venerable and notorious outcasts of this hardcore movement.
These rarely confronted and always respected leaders of hardcore were established as one of the meanest-sounding bands in the emerging punk genre, helping to initiate the term "hardcore," and placing an entire uproar on the New York map by association. From the start, AGNOSTIC FRONT released a catalogue of fast and violent punk tunes consisting of distinctive and aggressive drumming, bass work, and a non-stop barrage of chaotic shouting. AGNOSTIC FRONT’s uncontrollable drumming and fuming guitars fill every minute like an onrushing storm of flailing limbs and incinerating transistors. The heavier paced balance between the energy and discipline of their earlier punk roots strikes a taut and vivid rock barrage that moshes in close formation. "It's social politics," Roger states. "The day-to-day reality of waking up, reading the newspaper, and walking around the neighborhood. It's a hard stare on why the world is still one ****ed-up place, and we tackle the very real **** that's going down: gentrification's running rampant, street justice, world destruction, working wages, and backs are still being stabbed."
Long outliving their now-legendary contemporaries like Minor Threat, SSD, Dead Kennedys and Black Flag, AGNOSTIC FRONT could easily live off their laurels, but their fight is yet over! Throughout their storied history, AGNOSTIC FRONT have been anything but a ravishing group of individuals living prosperously and content. In fact, the band is more akin to have experienced growing up in adverse streets, undergoing arduous times, serving time in prison, become inflicted with murdered friends, the list would go on perpetually. But while there are definite vestiges of the past affecting them, they manage to continue and expose the conflicts they had to undergo in a compellingly evocative approach by relating it to their views of the world today.
AGNOSTIC FRONT continues to be living embodiment that "hardcore for life" isn't an empty slogan or a musical dead end. No one is born with tattoos. No one's born hardcore. But when the ink or the music sets in, you're changed. Their latest offering reaffirms that AGNOSTIC FRONT as a band, still operates like a musical razor blade. Regardless of their history, the proof is simple: AGNOSTIC FRONT’s anthems are hard, cutting, and the remarkable music continues to broaden with every release. “We support UNITY! We despise ignorance and hatred within our scene. The only people we should be at war with is those who oppress us, not with each other. Unite! Fight the system! Not ourselves! Believe – Hardcore!”"

Bridge 9 Records

"After their amazing show last year (pictured above) POLAR BEAR CLUB are coming back to Dublin on Sunday, July 17th for an All Ages show in The Pint.
When a band releases an album that is named one of the year’s essentials and “absolutely spectacular post-hardcore’ by Alternative Press, said band has a lot to live up to. That was 2008, then Polar Bear Club returned with an album that was even more groundbreaking than their last: Chasing Hamburg. Effortlessly seaming together the sounds of 90’s punk and hardcore – akin to bands like Lifetime and Hot Water Music – with a refreshingly 2000’s style and their own personal twist, this Polar Bear Club show is no doubt going to be amazing."

Hmmmm, now it's gonna be my wifey's b'day on that day and we were gonna spend the night in Fibbers gettin mashed, there's gonna be 6 of us (incl me 18yr old daughter who's comin over from Wales).
Do we have to pay the 12 quid each to get in if we're there early, not really arsed about the band
I remember being there when Evile played, we were there for about 5 and they didn't start charging till 6.30 i think0 -
You can't be serious mate...there's a show on, so of course you have to pay in. Luckily the bands are great, so it'll be worth it.0

Sorry, should have worded it better, if we're sat in the beer garden say from 2pm, will they come round and charge us at say 7???
I'm honestly not lookin for a freebie here, just wanted to crash in the beer garden and downstairs, i know i'd love the band and it wouldn;t bother me paying but the other 5, well, lets just say they aint into hardcore as much as me0 -

Listen pal, i told ya i'm not after a freebie, there's 6 of us, and ALL 6 of us have never even heard of this band. I'm the only one who would have probably checked them out. It's my wife's birthday, we'd planned to go to Fibbers but there's no way we're gonna pay 75 quid for 6 of us to sit in a beer garden while a band we've never heard of plays.
Sure we'll find somewhere else, shame as we like Fibbers Beer Garden0 -

LIVING WITH LIONS (CAN)
Adeline Records
(http://www.facebook.com/livingwithlions)
"It has been a long and winding road since the band formed in 2007. From the start, there was something tangibly different about LIVING WITH LIONS – their trademark dynamics and anthem-esque melody – set them apart in the punk rock community. The sound is something exciting, fresh, and definitively theirs. They wear their influences proudly while cultivating an experience all their own.
“Holy ****” reveals a group of young musicians, songwriters and friends maturing and truly coming into their own on all levels. The album touches on all the hallmarks of good punk rock – angst, frustration, regret, longing and triumph – while staying true to the band’s definitive sound. “These songs are all about real people and situations that we’ve had to deal with,” says guitarist Chase Brenneman. “It’s something people can definitely relate to on their own level.”
2011 will be a very special year for the band supporting “Holy ****”. It took a few years, countless months on the road and a steady dose of adversity to get here, but the band has seen it through and delivered an album that, without a doubt, has been worth the wait.
LIVING WITH LIONS will play Ireland for the first time, exclusively in Dublin, on August 8th as part of their UK/Ireland Summer tour."

STREET DOGS (US)
HellCat Records
(http://www.facebook.com/streetdogs)
"At a time when the music scene teems with mediocrity and fashion-oriented bands that are simultaneously from nowhere and of everywhere, maintaining a sense of roots, politics, and place has become the band’s calling card, a way of demonstrating to the world that they most decidedly stand for something. The Street Dogs, it is somewhat of an understatement to say, are from Boston. Mike McColgan’s name was already indelibly linked with the city, as he had already made his name as the frontman for the Dropkick Murphys, the standard-bearers of Boston punk during the late 1990s. More than anything else, Street Dogs' latest release, State of Grace, paints the picture of a band that adamantly and unapologetically has things to say. Rather than serving as the closing orations for a punk rock band, the new album serves to put the world on notice that everything up until this point has been little but prologue, and that the story of the Street Dogs begins now."

"Punk rock used to be about haggard road warriors. Before all the breakdowns and flat irons, there were busted transmissions and collect calls home. The Flatliners grew up believing in the later and rejecting the former, and after seven years playing together, they unleashed "Cavalcade" in April 2010, their third full-length record and an epic sonic testament to the life they’ve chosen.
Over the last four years, the Flatliners have spent almost thirty months in vans, dive bars, and concert halls across North America, Europe, and Japan, building up a dedicated following with a sound that mixes the endless fury of ‘90s skate punk with the nuanced, intelligent songwriting of classic post-punks like the Replacements and Hot Water Music. After releasing the ska-punk tinged Destroy to Create (Union Label Group) in 2005, the band evolved into a harsh melodic machine with 2007’s The Great Awake (Fat Wreck Chords), completing their transition into a vital modern punk unit with the Cynics 7" (Fat Wreck Chords) in late 2009.
This is deciated and hard-working band that is not to be missed! Support comes from The Arteries, The Upgrades and Give It A Year. "

FOR THE FALLEN DREAMS (US)
Rise Records
(http://www.facebook.com/forthefallendreams)
"In today's metal scene, it's easy for anyone to become jaded by the constant clones of, what is basically, the same band with hundreds of different names. We've all heard it; the same riff accompanied by the growling vocals and simultaneous "chug-chug" breakdowns. So, we wait and maybe search the music section on Myspace for a breath of fresh air. Thankfully, hidden in the obscure depths of the internet are bands that give this genre hope, and if you look hard enough, you can find Detroit, Michigan's well kept secret, FOR THE FALLEN DREAMS.
Formed in late 2003 signed to Rise Records (The Devil Wears Prada, Drop Dead Gorgeous) in the summer of 2007, these young men show incredible promise through songs that showcase poignant and powerful writing, both lyrically and musically while still staying in touch with their metal/hardcire roots. Their music displays a well-done balance of metal and melody. Guitarists, Jim Hocking and Kalan Blehm show a variety of ranges while shifting back and forth between hard-hitting metal riffs and some rather melodic guitar lines. Given their ability to draw the listener in with brutally honest lyrics about life, relationships, and struggle, the band shows solidarity for their future as a band to be taken seriously.
"Back Burner" was released in May 2011 and is being hailed as the band's best effort to date and well worth your time but everyone who's seen FOR THE FALLEN DREAMS knows that this band's real talent is in their flawless live show! Come catch them as they return to Dublin, Ireland on August 21st."

Slave Zero (Progressive Technical Death/Grind from Dublin)
The existing Slave Zero line up consists of: Eddie O'Malley (Guitars), Karol Kosc (Bass), Graeme V. Flynn (Vocals) and Ben Wanders (Drums). Their latest offering ‘Exempt from all tolerance’ sees them moving in a more progressive and technically proficient direction which will undoubtedly push the band and its listeners to a new level of expectation. The band's powerful, energetic live performances coupled with extensive touring throughout Ireland and Europe has gained them respect in the underground scene. This has generated opportunities to support acts such as Hatebreed, Exodus, Fozzy, Soilent Green, Misery Index ,Cephalic Carnage and Desecration to name a few. Their persistent desire to push boundaries and perpetual drive in spreading their music has attracted critical acclaim from publications such as Terrorizer, Metal Maniacs, and Brutallica and the band were even short-listed for the 2006 top ten unsigned acts in BW&BK Magazine. The relentless work ethic of Slave Zero, combined with their competent and professional attitude is further reinforced with the latest release ‘Exempt from all Tolerance’. The band’s DIY work ethic has ensured 10 successful years together.
They are currently writing new material for release in 2011.

Fragments (Technical Experimental Metal from Belfast)
An uncompromising assault on the ears, Fragments challenge preconceived notions of what music should be. The mixed-genre music incorporates cacophonous noisecore, math and post-rock melodies to create a sound that is as disjointed as it is captivating. Intensely raw, yet precise, musicality makes for memorable live show. A hardworking and unrelenting band, Fragments is a musical force to be reckoned with.

Xenocide (Technical Brutal Death Metal from Dublin)
Xenocide formed in late 2006 in Dublin, Ireland under the name "Criminal Jammage". Originally meant as a way for Ed and Kris to experiment with a heavier more technical sound than they were used to playing, but the band expanded into much more than a 'once a week jam band'. Once a solid line-up was finalised in early 2009 the band released the "Rapid Fire Capital Punishment EP", solidifying their place on the Irish Metal Underground. The name change soon followed and with that a string of high profile gigs with bands such as Suffocation, Trigger the Bloodshed & Avulsed. With a debut album on the horizon and many more gigs lined up you can expect to hear and see a lot more from Xenocide. BE PREPARED.

Weeping Ulcer (Filthy Sludge/Doom from Dublin)
Weeping Ulcer is a sludge/experimental/doom band from Dublin. They have been writing and rehearsing original material since the trio formed in June 2010. Inspired by all that's wrong in the world and a keen sense of ethereal exploration, they blend a multitude of musical influences into their own particular brand of down-tuned, sludgy filth. They recorded their 3 track Demo, "Dwelling in Filth" (available below for free) during January of 2011 in Loop Studios. It was produced by Gareth Desmond & Weeping Ulcer. The official release date was February 4th. A few select live performances are being planned over the coming months to support the demo release. The band has already begun writing new material which will be used for an EP scheduled to be recorded later this year.

"Starting off in 2008 the Dublin based act Red Enemy have established themselves well amongst the Irish and UK metal audiences with they're own unique blend of melodic metal. Following the large success of their debut self-funded EP "Outsiders", recorded at Studio 6 in Swindon (Bring Me The Horizon, Eternal Lord), the band have enjoyed their biggest audiences to date playing countless shows across the country. The band have recently released their second EP "What We Are Contained In, Is What We Are Worth" to critical acclaim from peers in Ireland and abroad. The EP is set for release on October 10th across the UK through Hold Tight PR. Dubbed as "The best debut encountered in quite some time" by BCFM, 2011 is poised to be a big year for Red Enemy.""

Atrax Mantis are a five piece Death Metal act from Kilkenny. Originally formed in 2004 as a four piece, a second guitarist was quickly drafted in to add to the band’s sound. Currently the quintet is busy writing their next release with recording possibly scheduled towards the year end.
