Loving this show too. Looking forward to every episode, every week.
It helps also that I think Emily VanCamp is just drop dead beautiful. Absolute lovely face!

Just seen ep. 6 there!...Tyler is freaking me out!, crazy looney totally obsessed with Daniel in a creepy i want to drink your urine kinda way!, fair dues to Frank...he was smart to check the security footage, Emily and Nolan are in a right pickle now!

They'll have to put Frank down with a bullet me thinks, i love how characters get framed, and some snake outta it....or they are in the frame but move the finger to someone else :-)

Most boring part tbh is Declan and his Hamptons brat GF, Jack is pretty dull as well...it's characters like Frank, Nolan and Tyler that make the show.

I wouldn't mind seeing Daniel and Ashley get blown up on a boat meant for Victorria or something...hehe!

Great episode, probably the best of the season so far. Didn't like the character of Declan up to this episode, but his outburst at the dinner was great. Gave a bit more development to the character of Ashley as well.

Nolan and Tyler  Never expected that, be interesting to see what Nolan does with the video.

And we found out how Amanda became Emily Thorne as well. Bye bye Frank, I wonder why the real Emily killed Frank. It was a shocking moment, certainly was not expecting it. I thought Frank would feature prominently in the season but the real Emily will probably start causing difficulties now.

Really impressive episode, the show has been one of the highlights of the year.

Watched all 7 episodes this weekend (on a bit of a catchup spree with a few shows).
    Love it, I'm hooked.

It's cheesy soap opera, but things are rocketing along - none of the episodes are boring and you just want to keep watching to see what happens next.

I guess now that Frank is dead, Lydia is free to wake up next week. :)

Good episode alright. Well the stakes have been upped to murder, I wonder if that was originally on the cards or do things just spiral out of control from here.

At least a murderer has been introduced so prime suspect in the shooting in ep1 I suppose.

    Lots of scoopy goodness!
    @Marleyakatroy: #revenge scoop!
Revenge is taking a cue from its sister show Once Upon a Time and drawing from fairy tales for inspiration. OK, not really, but Nolan (Gabriel Mann) is the Hamptons' version of the little boy who cried wolf, at least according to Jack (Nick Wechsler). "I continue to try and advise him, but he doesn't want to listen to me anymore," Mann tells us. "I gave him terrible advice as far as he's concerned, but this time he really, really, really should listen to me." Hmmm…we're guessing this has to do with the real Emily Thorne (Margarita Levieva) setting her sights on Jack.

Nor do we, but close they are going to get! The show is currently casting a darkly handsome tattooed local named Lee who will come between "Jack and Amanda." Something tells us the Amanda they are talking about is not played by Emily VanCamp…

In episode nine, you're going to start to see more of Nolan in the past." Latest episode was brilliant. Anybody else think that is going to turn out that Victoria got pregnant by Amanda's father and it will turn out that Charlotte is Amanda's half sister?

Agree yeah the latest ep was loads of fun. Tyler was too funny as the loon psycho. He's pinned with the murder of Frank so that will take some pressure off I suppose.

Yeah it seems to be pointing at Charlotte as before I had thought it was going to be Daniel and some twisted incest thing until it showed Victoria in the flashback saying to Emily's dad that Daniel was with his granny.

On paper I should really be hating this show but find myself sucked into it and really enjoying the cheese.

Looks like the heat has been turned up lately. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Victoria is capable of now she's completely backed into a corner and has absolutely nothing to lose. I was wondering how Amanda's DNA test came up with the 'right' answer. Was I was the only one surprised that Victoria's lawyer was in Emily's pocket all the time? I really didn't see that coming! Regarding Amanda's DNA test, for such a tough cookie I thought she came across as being a bit clueless when she accepted the cream for the strawberries. My reaction would have been to hightail it out of there as quickly as possible and have absolutely nothing further to do with Victoria. it just seemed like such a setup and I didn't expect Amanda to fall for it.

It's funny, I always thought that Daniel was the one point where Emily was slipping up and that what she felt was genuine in that case although now it seems like he's still just a milestone to her. Perhaps it's not that clear cut? Having said that, up til now I've always rooted for Emily but it looks like she's colder than I imagined.

All in all this has to be one of the outstanding shows of this season. I expected it to be far fluffier day 1 but it's delivered far more than I ever expected.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 34,567 ✭✭✭✭Biggins

It was very obvious that the lawyer was on Amanda's side from the start.
The claws are really going to come out now with Victoria.

    Should be fun! :D

As ABC's Revenge nears the February reveal of what exactly happened on the beach during Emily and Daniel's engagement party, more legal types will be drawn into the drama.
Former child actress Veronica Cartwright, will be playing a judge beginning in late February.
Cartwright joins Courtney B. Vance, who recently joined the series as defense attorney Benjamin Brooks.

BE WARNED! - MASSIVE SPOILERS IN THIS PROMO VID + comments

    http://www.spoilertv.com/2012/02/revenge-episode-115-chaos-promo.html

1x15 is the big reveal of who was dead on the beach in the pliot, the promo [stupidly] gives the game away + Mike Kelley seems to have backtracked.

Naah! It's not really a spoiler. The promo doesn't tell us anything we didn't already know from the pilot, right?

and just because Daniel was shot doesn't necessarily mean he's going to die. I sincerely doubt they'd kill him off anyway.

The last few episodes have been very good, didn't unnecessarily drag out the court case. Daniel is definitely a target of Emily now, with him sticking by his family even with what he knows.

Have to say James Purefoy was totally underutilized, should of used him more to show how close he was to Victoria. I know him leaving was meant to set up Victoria turning in Grayson, but it was hard to see why she would turn him in over that when she obviously cared more for David Clarke.

I loved last night's episode. It was great to see how Emily ended up at the Grayson's party where the photo that Lydia had was taken. It's also nice to see the background story behind Emily and Nolan.

Incidentally, i presume she had the tatoo removed? Hardly seems like something a svelte young socialite like Emily would be sporting around the Hamptons!

At this point I'm wondering what they'll do for Season 2. I'm hoping they can retain the same pace and level of interest they've had so far with S1.

I'm surprised there isn't a police sub station setup beside Grayson Manor seeing as they manage to keep the local law fairly busy every time they have a party or a get together :D

Looking forward to the S1 finalé at this stage.

She still had it in episode one - Daniel comments on it while they are having drinks on the boat.

Moving to Sunday's @ 9pm on ABC next season, Once Upon A Time is it's lead-in.....good or bad?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,722 ✭✭✭anotherlostie

I think it is a good thing. I'm not sure who is going to be looking for Revenge in Season 2 - I hope that it's Victoria, and I think her scheming and the plot twists would appeal to the demographic that watched DH down the years. I only tuned into this show because I had the hots for Joshua Bowman after he did an arc in Holby City a few years ago (the boy has done well, as has Ashley Madekwe who has gone from Sky's Bedlam to this) and and it's my favorite new show for 2011/12.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,711 ✭✭✭squonk

    What's DH anotherlostie?

I like that they've moved the story on quite a bit unexpectedly now
I need Emily to do a few more quick takedowns though (see what I did there) :)

    How the hell did
the white haird guy find Nolan
? I really thought he was home and dry at that point.

The Graysons really are a slimey bunch of a-holes. That scene with Daniel, Victoria and the evidence and the piece just directly following was fantastic! At this point, they're well on the way towards destroying themselves without Emily's help!

The show is still one of my favourites of 2012 but I'm just starting to hope it's not getting a bit Dallas/Dynasty like where it was based around two or three family members getting back at each other in various different combinations over different episodes. There was something very clean about earlier shows where Emily had a vilian of the week to take down and it was fun watching her do just that. Obviously they couldn't have kept that up or else Victoria and Daddy Grayson would be checking out round about now. I'm actually wondering though if this was somewhat the original intent of the show creators, to create maybe a 1 or at most 2 season arc but are now faced with a smash that they must make enough room for to encompass 3-5 seasons?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,130 ✭✭✭mel.b

I presume DH is Desperate Housewives?

I'd like to know how he found
    Nolan
as well. I presume he followed him. The episode leaves you guessing
if he killed him or has just knocked him out. Poor Nolan has had some bad encounters since meeting up with Emily!

Was a great episode and I can't wait for the next few :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,710 ✭✭✭Monotype

Nolan needs to fire that security officer he hired. He does a very bad job of keeping people out. You'd think with that kind of money, he could afford better.

Stowe confirms that the finale uncorks not one death “but actually several,” .
“I can’t say too much,” Stowe hedges, “but the season finale is a bit of a stunner in terms of Victoria’s fate.”

Let's hope Nolan survives. He's a good character to have around from Emily's point of view. Actually I like them all but I wouldn't mind seeing the PR girl go. She's annoying.

Now that was a finale

    No way is
Victoria dead or Jack the baby daddy
    I think

A few other sites seem to suggest Michelle Pfeffier is the popular choice by fans for the role of
    Amanda/Emily's mother

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

What a season finale. Great way to end the season. Looking forward to Season 2 now.

    Have to agree that
Victoria is most likely still alive, there is still a lot left for her character. Charlotte will survive as well., thought her talk with Victoria about revenge was brilliant. It makes sense that Amanda is back, would not be surprised also if it was not Jack's baby. Daniel also fully returning to his old ways with Ashley. Also glad that Nolan survived, he had some great lines in this episode. The mother dimension will be interesting, casting Michelle Pfeffier would be an excellent coup.

All in all, Revenge has been one of the best shows on TV this year. For a show that could easily have veered into cheesy storylines it instead became one of the most compelling shows to watch. Bring on Season 2.

Finale had overtones of Prison Break for me personally

I loved the finalé! One of the strongest episodes from any series this year! Edge of the seat stuff! No way is Victoria dead. I've been trying to figure out how she got out of it. The way she looked just before she boarded the plane would suggest she was about to turn back or that she knew something. I wonder has she brokered a deal with the white haired guy? It'll be much less of a show if Victoria isn't there really.

She really was the only one who was a match for Emily! I loved the scene with the engagement gift. Was I the only one going 'What's wrong with these people that they haven't opened their presents already? I'd have had the wrapping off them all as soon as the crowd were gone!' :)

How did Emily get out of those handcuffs so quickly? Looks like Emily VanCamp can do action! She morphed into Sydney from Alias for me once she showed up with the axe!

Like everybody else I don't think Charlotte is dead or that Jack is the baby daddy either. I'm just waiting to see what Emily is going to do about it! Amanda has to be for the chop sooner or later! She's like a bad smell at this stage! Emily can't have much use left for her, especially now as she's making a fine effort of stealing Jack from Emily.

I loved how they moved Charlotte from sweet misguided teen to Victoria-in-training :) I really hope she survives at this point because she might have a lot to contribute next season.

My only reservation is the wider conspiracy that has been introduced. There was something great about Season 1 with Emily being on the inside subtly but deliberately destroying the Graysons and I'm hoping they can keep that feeling next season. I just hope they can keep the quality up. The show hasn't flagged all season and the finalé was like a regular episode on steroids! They've set a high bar and I don't mind if the early S2 eps return to normal pace but I'm just hoping they can maintain the quality. It's really the only show that I'm seriously looking forward to already!

I really want Michelle Pfeifer to show up too!

The best episode by far!!! They really did pull off an amazing finale, one of the best Ive seen in a long time.

check out this interview with the creator:

There are at least three people in jeopardy, and one that you didn’t know about.
So the 3 are Victoria, Charlotte and Lydia....

Anyone any idea who the other one might be?

That was a great ending! Funny that Sydney Bristow got a mention on the thread, because the whole movement of the storyline had me in mind of Alias and it does look like Amanda could move into that role in Season 2 (and she certainly had the moves) if there's a bigger conspiracy at play. And of course the mother possibly being part of the conspiracy is another nod to Alias.

    Surely
    Victoria
cannot be dead. I actually had the ending totally wrong - I was sure that Amanda or Victoria was going to meet David Clarke and his death was going to turn out to be a ruse. Definitely looking forward to this coming back.
