Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Howdy!
The last few days have been non stop! Still waiting on my timetable from the school, but I've a lot of stuff to read before that anyway. Spending today getting a headstart on the reading and printing. I started in DCU last night, it was lovely. It's going to be a challenging year all the same.
How is your mum doing green_screen?

She's grand. They think she just had a bad reaction to the blood infusion, so instead of having a massive dose every 3 weeks, she's having smaller doses weekly for life, and being pumped full of steroids and antihistamines. She seems grand :)

    What are you studying?

That sounds like a manageable plan, glad she is feeling better!

I'm doing the Professional Masters in Education in DCU. We have lectures in the evenings and are in schools during the day. Massive work load!

Time to look into planning the next piece myself. Scar should be all healed up by the time I have the cash together for it too. War, famine, pestilence and death will be my cheery google searches while it's getting planned.

Getting a bit of filler on my legs now.

I had to reschedule my tattoo with bam, gutted! Waited months, feels like I'm never gonna get there now. Bright side is that I might come along to the galway show for a day. But ugh :p Got the new dates through last night, end of February.

First night back in work tonight after 3 weeks off leaving the little one and the girlfriend at home sucks. Really enjoyed having the time off.

At the rate he's going, he should just come here for a month!

Also, hello everyone! I've been moving house, living in my own wee place out in Tallaght with Bubz (my pet rabbit) and it's joyous :D Just got the last of the stuff moved today and now I can hibernate for winter :v Work is busy too and I've been catching up with Orange is the New Black. Alles gut!

This evening I will be found cursing my printer and trying to figure out why it keeps randomly deleting settings on itself. It's a blasted thing!

Also, my word Doctor Who was strange!

I'm miserable. Got a goddamn massive throbbing boil in my armpit that won't come to a head despite lashings of magnesium sulphate paste. It hurts. I have an owie. :( Still, could be worse- my mother wants to put a boiling hot bread and salt poulstice on it but after the time she stabbed my finger with a needle once to burst a stye, I'm not letting her anywhere near me. Old fashioned remedies are barbaric in my experience. :/ Anyhoo, how're things?
Things are fairly quiet on my front. If I can clear out most of the crap, I MIGHT be getting my bedroom redecorated. I'm thinking purple and black stripey wallpaper in a Tim Burton-y style though I'm open to suggestion.
I've been told by several people that you can order custom mural wallpaper over the internet- it comes in 6-8 pieces-and I'm thinking of going for either a tattoo motiff of a big skull and roses or something related to Freddie Mercury. It's early days but I'm excited.
Aside from that, no major news.

    I know it's ages ago, but I haven't been on...thank you guys. :o

Sorry I haven't been here, but I'm out the door with the two jobs, don't have a minute. In the week just gone, I was on 6am-2pm Monday to Friday, was doing bouncer on Friday night from 10pm to 4am and back in to work on Saturday morning for 6am, so no bed for me....by the time I got to bed on Saturday night, I was up 41 hours. :( The was doing bouncer again Sunday night and back into work today....I'm shattered. Even the training has pretty much stopped as I'm to busy or too tired to do it. Hopefully it'll all settle down soon.

Miss you guys, hope everyone is doing ok..

Got my nose repierced today. Wasn't half as sore as I remembered. Was just looking at the aftercare sheet there and it say to us saline for three days and then savlon wound wash. Surely something like savlon would be way too harsh for a new piercing? I've had my nostril refuse to heal once, would hate for it to happen again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,629 ✭✭✭Adiboo

Stay away from Savlon anyway. Just stick with saline.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,767 ✭✭✭raze_them_all_

bah my new ear piercing just wouldn heal right, way too much scar tissue i think bastard!!
