Congrats Lashes28, how lovely a wee girl!!

Wr have bought a few baby grows anf thats it. Went looking at buggs today!!! Bit overwhelming! We were thinking beep vista but felt they looked flimsy enough and were not convinced. So looked at icandy's..... beautiful buggs but find it hard to think a system comes around 800euro. Then the guy showed us a chicco urban pram. Its really cool. Whole system is 450 and its bassinet converts into stroller seat and. Only neg was the wheels were hard plastic and hubby reckons it might not wear well for next baby (let me have this 1 first please darling!) Otherwise It seems like a good system. They are fairly new so reviews are limited!

Didn't really get to update yesterday,my scan was just surreal, Little Miss was very uncooperative and sleepy for the whole time. She is lying with her head to the right and her feet to the left with her back to the world snuggling into my womb!! Eventually when we got her awake by coughing/ poking at her, I found it so bizzare that she was moving and I couldn't feel it. I feel so much movement that I thought I could feel it all.

Anyways I got beautiful 3D pics and one for my son to take home and you can actually see how alike they are already, he's so excited to meet his little sis now, I just can't stop gushing to everyone!

Ps sonorapher was amazing with my son and really made him feel included, would defo recommend babyscan.ie

Ah thats lovely Lashes28, hiw many weeks are you?? Im 19 weeks and havnt felt a flutter in well over ten days.... feeling worried but anything I read says not to worry as its my first and I may not feel him/her for while yet.....

    Just want to feel it!!!

No heartburn for me thank god but the "first trimester" tiredness pops up every 3rd or 4th day and wipes me out.... is this a wee sign from baba to let me know im going to be really tired once he or she comes! :-)

Its funny to be the same month and feel so far "behind"! I'm only 16+3 so nothing here yet

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,787 ✭✭✭Lashes28

This is my second and I'm 20 weeks, I have felt it very early on though but the last week they are getting stronger and more kicks rather than flutters don't worry I think I was 6 months gone on my first before I copped anything!!!

I am so tired too, but it's been mad busy at work and with our stock in the back going on to the top shelf meaning climbing huge ladders to get it I'm gonna be fit as a fiddle

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,495 ✭✭✭bobskii

I am tired ALL THE TIME! I don't want to go to sleep I just don't want to get up from the couch... Not an option with a 1yr old to run around after. Hopefully this too shall pass...

I'm so lucky I have an 9 year old that I can bargain with playing mine craft, fifa, battleship and checkers!! All the sitting down ones lol . I keep thinking this is how tough it feels and I have to remind myself my body's ten years older!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,495 ✭✭✭bobskii

Thank god I'm not the only one feelin tired,I thought that passed I'm the first three months(altho I never had it then) I'm knackered dunno what I'll be like in a few weeks when I go back to work!!
Headaches seem to be gone, haven't had one since and touch wood I won't cos they leave me cranky!I got my first congratulations today without being scrutinised about my bump size!

  • Registered Users Posts: 926 ✭✭✭fall

Big scan today and I am just so happy after it. Saw the baby sucking its thumb and the got a four d scan picture from the radiographer. I didn't know the hospitals even had the four d technology. I thought that was only available privately. Baby is sitting right on my bladder so that explains the 10 trips to the toilet at night!

That's so cute!!hoping my munchkin cooperates next scan at the last one he/she was having none of it and all I could see the was the back of its head! The weeks are flying in aren't they,21 weeks today already!

  • Registered Users Posts: 926 ✭✭✭fall

The radiographer had to get me to jump up and down a few times to get the pictures because the baby is sitting so low and to get some of the measurements she was literally hitting my abdomen with the wand thing trying to make the baby move up. The baby was hiccuping loads. It was all quite comical to be honest but thank God I didn't have a full bladder because I wouldn't have gotten through it. I am 21 weeks tomorrow, it really is flying in. I just organised all my maternity clothes this evening, I got loads of stuff from different friends and family so just co ordinated my outfits this evening :)I think I have a better wardrobe now than before I was pregnant.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,495 ✭✭✭bobskii

Lol the full bladder thing really is torture!when I was having my egg transfer I had to have a full bladder and I actually cried it was so tortures!
I did the same yesterday with maternity clothes and I have to say I'm so grateful for them!!so much more comfort when your not trying ta squeeze into normal clothes!

Well although I've been as sick as a dog for almost half my pregnancy, since that ended last week I'm loving it too. felt my first real kicks or flutters yesterday and hoping to have my scan next week :-) I love the fact that there's a little life growing inside there and it starts to feel real when you start to show and get the little flutters :-)

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,495 ✭✭✭bobskii

I'm not so in love with it right now. 19 weeks, still throwing up every three/four days. No sign of any movement yet which I know is going to start bothering me. Back at school two weeks and already down with a horrific cold so have a docs visit in the morning to find out what I'm allowed take and to monitor my asthma because runny noses are the devil for causing mad flare ups. Then its back to school to try and catch up on classes missed :( I hate missing school

  • Registered Users Posts: 926 ✭✭✭fall

I am back two weeks as well. The amount of kids with vomiting bugs and colds is unbelievable. I am doing my best to stay away from them. The pace of school is tough. There is always a child looking for you!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,495 ✭✭✭bobskii

same here,I'm back a week and already I'm coughing and snuffling hopefully it'll pass . I think honey in hot water with lemon is supposed to b good.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,495 ✭✭✭bobskii

mirror wall is this your first? at 19 weeks I really had to concentrate to feel the movement so do you worry yourself and it's my second . I'm 23 weeks now and a month makes a big difference.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,495 ✭✭✭bobskii

that should say don't worry yourself!

I got you. Ya its my first, its not bothering me so much yet (more that its in the back of my mind if you get me). I suppose realistically I've no perspective! I'm due Jan 27th so there really is a month in it compared to anyone due at the start.

Lots of teachers here! I'm maths/music in a Secondary School!

    Hi all,
I'm still exhausted all the time, went today to Ikea and picked up a chest of drawers got them put together and have sorted out all baby's clothes and blankets, feel a bit more prepared in myself!
My ex has been trying his hardest lately, so my heads a bit all over the place, he arrived in with the receipt for a bugaboo as a peace offering the other day.😱
Plenty of movement these days, right now she's moving like mad
How are Ye doing on names?? We have decided to call her a different one each week to see what we like the best :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,495 ✭✭✭bobskii

I was chatting to a friend yesterday who's 5 weeks ahead of me and the difference is huge, worries will always be there tho its hard not to worry.

I tried out one name on my oh , he's been sayin it since and now I do think like it any more!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 926 ✭✭✭fall

Secondary too mirror wall. Ah Lashes that must be confusing but at least he is not fighting with you and you can just focus on you and the baby.
Big difference in a month, my bump is so much bigger now than four weeks ago. I finally look pregnant.
I had a name picked for my first baby but when I saw him I changed my mind instantly. The original name didn't suit him at all.

  • Registered Users Posts: 82 ✭✭millie14

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,162 ✭✭✭autumnbelle

Ladies can I just ask when you got your letters from the hospital for booking appointment did it come in an unobvious envelope?! Trying not to tell family till 12 weeks and i thought I'd try here to see if any of you could remember

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,495 ✭✭✭bobskii

it was just a brown envelope with a window for your name, altho if you've a detective like my mother getting your letter she'll know by lookin at it what it is lol!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,162 ✭✭✭autumnbelle

Thanks a mil bob ski that's what I'm worried about is one of my family clicking it :) only just found out and aiming to keep it to just me and my bf knowing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,787 ✭✭✭Lashes28

I told a little white lie and said it was a reminder for a smear test, stopped all questions,

Congrats Millie!! I'm the same regarding the bump and have put on two stone since becoming pregnany, but it's all bump and I had starved myself for holidays before I got pregnant or so I'm telling myself anyways ;)
