Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all.
Thought it would be a good idea to have a thread where we could post about stuff that isn't worthy of a thread, stop other threads going way off topic or if you just want to have an old chat.

Let me start by showing you my new bicycle decals:

I wonder do that printing company in KK print things like that? Anyway...
For any one who has there lunch break in the centre at about 1.30, does the amount of St Kierans lads going around (causing mischief, usually) bother anyone? Because i never had a problem with them until today, I was walking in front of SM on high st and a group of them were following this old lady taunting and swearing at her. She was trying to ignore them until one said something about her dieing.....and she told them not to choke. After this I am really put of the idea of them all hanging around, blocking the pavements. Also speaking of SM any thoughts on the newly commisioned (f)Art work?

    PS thanks for sticking this.

That sticker looks like it's attached to a nice bike. Is it a Giant?

No, it's a Stratos (LIDL). Giants are nice though and the one thing that appears to be good is that there's a bit of a price fix on them so it's not like you order it online and save mega bucks. It's true though, if you live in Kilkenny, you probably ride a giant and are covered in BBB accessories. I have a dozen or so stickers so I'll stick them on the get around bike also :)

Nah, I don't think I've ever seen Kilkenny walk a league. It'll be down to business next month.

So summer has arrived. I'm judging this not by the weather but by the fact that knacker drinking has retuned. Plague of our city!!!

    Discuss . . .. !!! :D

I'm in favour, so long as it is done fairly discreetly and people clean up after themselves.

In the midst of the current economic turmoil, it is significantly cheaper than getting your wallet raped in a pub, and in the absence of your ears getting buggered by the horrid hooks of Lady Gaa Gaa and The Black Eyed peas, it is a stimulant for the age old art of conversation; truly a catalyst for fraternity and solidarity in these troubled times.

So get yourself a flagon or two of Devil's Bastard and head down the 'nal on Friday evening. And shout abuse across the river at the well-to-do folk with their jobs and G & T's. Who do they think they are?

Who's she, Lady Gaa Gaa- Angela Downey?

    (I know, sad, couldn't resist...)

I for one hope for a repeat of the smashin summer we had in 2006, absolutely brilliant summer, you wouldn't have wanted to step foot outside the country. Spent half the summer in the Castle Park or down at the River Court (amazing how you can make a 7up last so that you can hang out there for 3 hours!) Bring it on!

Knacker Drinking = Keeps the money flowing, Ancient culture of the minorities, Brings use to spaces, etc. etc. As long nothing so offensive is done, like doing it where my eyes are looking. But i knew summer was back as the smell from the river brought a tear to my eye, (Ballyraggets sewerage can do that) :D until the smell from the brewery over powered that one. Anyone like the smell of the brewery?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional South East Moderators Posts: 11,393 Mod ✭✭✭✭Captain Havoc

I'm in two minds about a fantastic summer, I work in a glasshouse which today was horrible to work in and that was a bit of a preview of what's to come. On the other hand, I can't wait to have a cracker of a farmer tan from all the cycling, woop, woop.

I like the smell from the brewery. And I don't know who Angela Downey is.
