Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No I think it worked pretty well, he's pretty much taken his fore-arms and body out of the equation. Just his head, shoulders, hands and elbows sticking out. Looks absolutely terrible handling-wise though.

Those kind of bikes are designed by guys who would draw wings on a car when they were kids.

So, why no wings on the Lexus horror? I would expect fins at least. Perhaps a projectile weapon to go with the twin lances up front. I hope they snap off easily, as otherwise you could have a hell of a time unskewering someone from your handlebars (possibly yourself!).

Huge upside down forks for super duper front compliance, THEN, no rear shock. Mortally dangerouse air vents that seem to be diverting air inside the hand covers over your hands. The covers don't even go out all the way. Or is it for cooling brake fluid? Why not just leave the reservoir exposed with some nice nifty fins on. Western decadence gone wild.

He had them in the first design draft. Trying not to dent his ego too much, his colleagues hinted that it might end up looking a bit stupid.
"Can I leave on the Aero bars for speed mountain biking on Jupiter?"
"eh yeah sure. Just take off the wings. It will be hard to get it through the front door"

Actually thinking about it, I can only imagine it was the CEO's 9 year old son that designed it and the CEO ordered his underlings to build it.

There's actually nothing new on that bike anyway. It's just a collection of daft crap.

I quite like that, at least it's different for a reason and not just different to be different. All hard tails should have the caliper inside the rear triangle also they look so much tidier.

I think the correct way to ride this bike is by hanging the left knee over the cushion, and then pedal with the right foot only.
There is a garden shears aboard which would take a lump off your left ankle if you tried to cycle it in the conventional manner.
There is also some kind of spear pointing out the back to discourage any wheelsuckers from getting too close.

That should be put down :(

There should be a drone strike ordered on that house! This evil must be cleansed from the earth.

On a related note, I nearly got a phot of my personal white whale for this thread to day (an awfully light commtuerlolled CX bike) but the owner was unlocking it at the time, ergo I deemed it unwise to commence my quest for justice.

You would pay two thousand euros for a flat bar Chinarello with "SHIMANO ultegra,105,sora" components?

We mock the bike not the rider...more often than not it's the manufacturers fault...upside down drops aside.

Really? You may want to read the last two pages again. Pillow saddle? It's rarely the manufacturers fault. It's poor choice of component on the riders part. I'm stating a difference in that and those who don't have a choice. Or would appear not to. Read the last few pages and again and you might see what I mean.

    Spot the rear brake!

There's also a perplexing excess of cable inner, almost like the owner is thinking of sticking a steerer extender on to make it a bit taller.

edit: no, that wouldn't make any sense without longer outers.
