Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Royal Tenanbaums - seen this months ago and thought it was hilarious, but hardly anyone Ive mentioned it to have seen it!!
My 3rd favourite movie of all time. My old sig used to be "Life Moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

Which I would have kept, but I wanted a family guy one.

Anyway, Underrated movie- Detroit Rock City- If you like 70s rock, this is the movie for you. Great movie. Could have been funnier, but other thasn that it's great.

Some more good films some of you may have not seen...

Y tu mama tambien (brilliant mexican coming of age film)
Fast times at ridgemont high (Sean Penn at his finest)
You can count on me (isnt Laura Linney great)
Warriors ('come out to play eee aay')
Sixteen candles (angsty girl version of Ferris Buellers...)
Labrynth (Bowies codpiece, muppets and the very pretty Jennifer Connelly)
    Hard 8 (P.T Andersons debut)

Thats all I can think of that has'nt been mentioned already

God I thought the Royal Tenanbaums was bloody awful. Good cast wasted. What a waste of my time.

    Excellent Film

I would add anything by Jim Jaramusch.
Dancer in the Dark (opinions on this film divided by I hate / I love camps generally)
    The Sweet Hereafter.
    To Kill a Mockingbird.
    Anything Hitchcock.

Once watched To Kill a Mockingbird and Rear Window double header in an old-timey style cinema down under and it was such a treat.

I watched the breakfast club, expecting a normal teen comedy, but got a great drama. It's really good, and funny in bits too.

    City of God
    Chopper
    The Royal Tenenbaums
    Donnie Darko
    Requiem for a Dream
    Magnolia
    Old School

I had never heard much about these films before watching them and rate them all very highly.
