The radio code megathread (No ford "V" codes available, See post #1)

HI guys,

hope you can help, i got the car serviced a few days ago, radio asking for the code since!

Pressed 1&6 on the radio and got the following

SN: S0CD1X7V013261
CS: 34C803E9

Would really appreciate any help with this

Ford codes where serial no. starts with letter V are not available for free on any web site. You could try DoneDeal ref---Car radio / cd player Repair and Decode

Looking for the code for an old Volkswagen BETA radio/cassette (+ CD player input) made by Blaupunkt

Serial number is VWZ1Z2A5845004
Also another label with barcode on top of radio says " Radionr: *014VWZ1Z2A58450045* "
Also a small sticker at back of radio has "OB677" and "47" if this is of any help?

Codes for this model radio are not available from the serial no. You will need to give it to someone who decodes radios.

It'll be on a label on the radio itself.

If it starts with a letter M and then six digits, someone here will be able to give you the code for free.

If it starts with a letter V and then digits, then you'll need to pay a commercial unlocking service.

You need the part number as well, the number starting in 76xxxxxxx.

You can get the code from here:

or there are apps for Android which do the same thing. HTH

Unfortunately, unlike the M serial numbers, you can't get free codes for V serial numbers. Try a Ford dealer, or there are various commercial unlocking services.

SERIAL NUMBER V072839
KEY CODE 5918

I tried this code 5918 in radio but it says incorrect :-(

The Ford V codes are not available as a freebie. Ask at your local garage as to where they get their radios decoded...

This is not the serial no. needed to calculate your code...
