Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I thought that you could but I now don't think that it's possible.

Yeah was trying to do it yesterday and couldn't find a way around it. I've €50 credit and don't know what to do with it. I'll keep looking though .

I've been in the same boat, having credit left on my phone after 30 days of free data and three call. Pretty much all the credit gets used up on data if i forget to top-up again. I've bought Hearthstone pack on my phone but would love to find a way to buy steam credit. buygamecredit.com seems pretty useful but only offers xbox and PSN credit. I was just on G2A to try and buy a steam gift card, a €5 card would have cost €20 in credit, WAY too much.

Where are you even seeing that option on G2A Ed E?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,169 ✭✭✭✭ED E

Go into your account and chose to buy coins. One of the payment methods is mobile.

    Hi all,
Just wanted to add another place where you can spend your credit. MechWarrior Online has a pay by phone option.
Now i've had mixed results, my phone is with three but i'm a 087 number, was Vodafone years ago, and i seem to be able to spend up to €30. Bought an ingame item for €12.
Now a friend tried with his 083 number and was told that the carrier was not valid, quite strange.
It seems Boku are handling the payment and i had very little extra charges added on. Not sure why an 083 number will not work as three have on their site that you can use Boku payments up to €30.

This just launched by someone in my friend's friend list on facebook. https://mobiletouchcart.com/shop/
You can shop online using phone credit. They only accept three,o2 and vodafone and same as above only 30e spend per day.
No idea why they don't accept meteor :/
Just bought a cool charger with some left over credit, so will see how it goes.

You'd be mad to give your phone details to a WordPress site.

All looks like cheap Chinese tat.

Turns out G2A are scummy and try and lock you into a subscription service.
You are unable to cancel the G2A Shield subscription at the moment because of the G2A Shield 30 day free trial you have activated. The subscription can only be deactivated two days before the end of the 30 day free trial period.

    F'ck em.

did any of those actually work?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,967 ✭✭✭✭Thargor

Not that I know of, Dragons Den idea for someone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,169 ✭✭✭✭ED E

If anyone has an alternative to G2A for Steam keys that'd be awesome.

I'm on Three and I can buy anything I want on the Play Store except hardware. I've bought apps, rented movies, paid for subscription services (e.g. Google Music, YouTube Red, Evernote...).

Has anyone any suggestions for tesco payg credit? Adverts seem to be the only use I have found so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,512 ✭✭✭Wheety

Was just going to start a thread like this and then saw this one.

Like someone said above anthing that's not hardware can be paid for with credit on the Play Store. I rented The Nice Guys last night and cast it to my Chromecast. Was only €1.25 or something as they have 75% off at the moment on your first rental. Also paid for a couple of premium apps.

I also pay my subscription to AVG mobile through phone credit and my subscription to Lastpass.

You can pay for onstreet parking in most places now by texting a number.

Still looking for anything else though

How can I set up my credit to be used in the play store?

If you're with three just "add a payment option" when checking out. If you arent, you cant.

    @ED E,

Can I ask how/where you got that breakdown of your 'Cash Credits'?

    Thanks

I meant on your 3 account, you posted a picture showing your top ups and how much is remaining from the top up, I'd like to see my own. Please let me know where you found that. Thanks.

Download the My3 app. It tells you all your credits and when they expire etc.

Its really obvious once you login, so I have to assume somethings different for you:
    A) If you're on mobile use Chrome and select "Request Desktop Version" in settings
    B) If you're an o2 Customer migrated to three and still on an o2 plan all bets are off.

Is it just three that you can buy Deezer with credit and Vodafone for Spotify?

Might switch to another network but the ability to subscribe to a streaming service for free(kinda) is appealing.

Seems to be fixed now for that gaming credit going by replies to the support thread.

Random Update: World of Tanks (Wargaming) have changed their mobile topup system. You now call Daopay.

Its 35% more expensive than regular payment methods as you call a 1590 number and they add a €2 fee.

Still better than wasting it or giving it to scummers like G2A.

If anyone has been looking to get PlayerUnknowns Battlegrounds on PC you'll be glad to know that you that you can get it from their website and pay with phone credit. it seems you have to have an 087 number to use the service though. I know that i'm with three but have an 087 number and it works fine for me, my sister is 086 and the service wouldn't work.

Also it seems that G2A have removed the option to pay by phone.

Thanks a million for that! Ive heard good things about this game. Please post if you ever hear anything else like that. It would be great if there was a list of games hat could be bought with credit somewhere...

There's still no hope for Steam Keys or gift cards no?

    Or even Ninty ones?

Might starting selling Xbox/Sony ones on eBay/Adverts and just out the money aside for bills.

Hey all, seems that butgamecredit has closed down by the looks of it and Boky now seems to be restricted to Vodafone. Back to the drawing board for a lot of people.

Anyone notice that buygamecredit.com site is now down. They posted the following message a few days ago "We are sorry to announce, that BuyGameCredit.com will be temporarily switched off. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Please follow us on Twitter and Facebook for further information and updates on when we will we will be switched back on."

Anyone know what's going on, is it a technical issue or are they going out of business?
