Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

€2050 on credit card - hoping to have it clear over the next four/five months.

6k which should be paid off in about six months. If it comes to it, I have more then enough assets to be able to pay it off within a month. I don't like selling stuff though.

Then I'm going to put myself about 20k in dept.

I love the way people are just throwing the old mortgage in as an aside :)

Ah sure Ive only another half a mil to pay on that

My current monthly repayment is quite a bit less than I would pay to rent in the same estate, so unless I fancy moving in with my old pair in my mid-thirties, it's a fairly non-negotiable outgoing. :D

Fair play for doing it though - I know a lot of people who couldn't survive without their cards.

    4100(college debt).

Come September I will smack another 10k on that. Because 2 degrees aren't enough to get a job in Ireland.

15k in term debt (of which 2.4k is payable over the next 5 months)
About 1k in non term debt (which will prob be closer to 1.5k by the end of next month)
    No Savings.

hey just wonderin wat the average amount people owe is, obviously mortgage not included, just incited after an intriguing conversation wit some friends about credit card bills and whatnots so if it's not delvin into personal boundaries wat do you owe on credit cards, overdrafts loans etc

i owe 150 on my oil bill which i dont intend to pay until i need oil again :)
    0 on car :)
about 400 on visa which il pay this week
and im about 100 in on my overdraft at the monent

but ive about 1500 in a savings account

but i only spend about 40 a week, sometimes more on food, whilst eating very healthily and gormet meals for 3 :)

so how are you all oding in the recession?

    Dont owe anything

    2700 in savings

i used to worry about debt, but every time i drive my car, play my xbox or flick through my itouch, i think it's worth it.

I agree. When I restructured my loans recently the total amount including the interest over 5 years was €9000 but if I repay it sooner the amount will be lower because the interst will be less.

There's €400 on my credit card.
