Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I like them thin and moist; Jif lemon is part of the tradition. I think it was around before real lemons were discovered

But people seem to go mental for them once a year & probably never eat them for the rest of the year.

That would be where you are wrong. :p

I get a giddy thrill from eating so delicious, but so nutritionally void for my main meal of the day. :pac:

Once as a kid when shopping with my mother shortly before Pancake Tuesday, a woman with a microphone stopped me and asked me how I liked my pancakes.

"With sugar." my six or seven-year old self awkwardly blurted out. Nothing more.

This was then broadcast on local radio as part of a rigorous investigative piece on how people liked their pancakes.

I never knew why everyone laughed (especially when they listened to it again after recording it off the radio), as that's how I liked my pancakes then. :(

I still don't know why people would laugh at that??

    I don't really like pancakes. I know, I'm sorry for being a weirdo :(

Lemon, sugar and strawberry jam is how my pancakes will be decorated.

Nah, I actually know a fair few people who don't like them. They find them dense and sickly.

Yeah, they just make me feel a bit nauseous to be honest, feel really bloated and overly-full. After only eating one I mean.

The weirdest part of pancake tuesday growing up had to be school the day after where everyone bragged about their pancake consumption the previous night and the guy who claimed he had wolfed down 34 pancakes was lauded as some sort of hero.

We had interesting values those days. :D

Trust me, you're better off buying them already made. I'm just after an hour of cleaning up after making them from scratch for 4 (half edible) pancakes. Flour everywhere, non stick pan fúcked, mixed up the instructions regarding salt vs baking powder and my mobile phone is missing. Never again.
