As mentioned in a previous post, I suffered a lot from bronchitis last year, which put the dampners on my season plans for last year.
Hoping to get a decent winter of turbo sessions and strength and conditioning training under my belt, I set about researching and constructing a plan focused on the goals I set in September.
    Then I got bronchitis....again....

So, after taking an extended rest and recoups ration period, I've finally got back in the saddle tonight.

40min turbo session, low heart rate. Max HR mid zone 3. (147bpm)

The plans for last year included sone longer sportives (140k +) and competing in my clubs summer league.
All this fell by the wayside due to illness, I foolishly entered the club league and done 2 races while still recovering from illness.
I've gotten into the habit of keeping a training journal, and upon reflection, I've noticed that my training sessions were the opposite to what they should be fir this time if year, high hr and low cadence.

So today's the first proper attempt at getting a decent pre seasons training.

Day 2; the wife's having a lie on and I'm on the turbo.
35 min session, low HR, high cadence. Staying in low gears 34/25.
On previous turbo sessions I either got distracted by listening to music or watching tv, and not really focusing on what the numbers on my garmin displayed.
I still had the tv on but paid more attention to the garmin, keeping cadence between 95 and 105 rpm and HR in zone 3.
Now time for post turbo stretching, coffee and banana and egg pancakes.
