Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

G'wan Treviso!!! They were really unlucky to not win against Ospreys in November.

The cast v saints game is actually great, all action... But you get the feeling this is a battle happening even though these teams will be at the bottom of the table. Saints are a shadow of themselves from last year... Even with the players they're missing today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,308 ✭✭✭✭.ak

Elliot try from some loose play from both sides. Elliot intercepts and pulls a 70m (?) try.

I think Elliot's been unlucky not to get 3 tries today.. showing great class and a stand out player for the saints. Amazing for a H cup début. I'd be worried if I was Ashton.

    23-17 to Cast.

3 tries for Saints is it now? Another try and a win would keep them in the pool.

Northampton suffered badly last year when they were missing some key players, e.g. during the Six Nations. The noises coming out of their camp at the start of this season were that they had improved their depth, but there's little evidence of it today.

I'm impressed by Lacey today, he's a ref that I haven't seen much of but he's doing a good job.

And they keep shooting themselves in the foot. Dewi Morris sounds like he's about to cry.

BP try for Northampton. Win here for them would throw the group wide open again.

Yep, agreed.. Except for Elliot, he's been class today.

Lacey has been quite good.. he's not usually as good tends to get 'stroppy'.. but he's very relaxed today, good calls.

Another try for saints. BP try. Another debut player Manoe, just after making a RD hit...

Myler missed conversion again. Lamb on.

    26-22 Cast.

    Morris is hilariously biased.

    Hope Castres can hold on...

If they had kicked their conversions, they'd be winning though...were they kickable ones?

    Converted try for Biarritz: 27-19.

Tom Wood sin binned for attacking a maul from the side.

  • Site Banned Posts: 5,346 ✭✭✭wixfjord

29-22 Castres with Wood in the bin.
    Can't see saints winning this.

whew game over in Castres then

Then again if Castres win over in Saints next week, they might be in with a sniff.

What did he do? I'm definitely gonna download this game!

That's the end of Northampton's HC campaign anyway. Castres are playing a high-tempo, off-loading game which frankly I didn't think they were capable of. If they ever decide to really commit to the HC and put the same effort and selection policies into their away fixtures as they do in France, they will be serious contenders.

Munster should be eternally grateful for Castres' decision to move the game to Toulouse.

    His kicking is just unreal!
Castres going for the BP now, they're a surprisingly good team.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

They need the BP alright, I thought they had it already with 36 points on the board.

They'll give Scarlets a fair going over in the last game too.
This pool is a real group of death!
A Munster win today would be huge.

    BP Castres.
They'll have to fancy themselves next week too.
    Interesting.

    Penalty scored by Treviso, 30-26

30-26 to Treviso, hang in there lads!

result 30-26 to Treviso. 2 BPs to Biarritz

  • Registered Users Posts: 686 ✭✭✭Flincher

    Bonus point win for Castres.

Ideally Northampton will beat them next week, and I think that will take both teams out of contention.

If no bonus points come out of that fixture, it will leave Castres on 6 and Northampton on 7. Either Munster or Llanelli could easily be on 16/17 points in 8 days time.

Racing Metro 14-34 London Irish, bonus point win for the Exiles. That makes their pool very interesting.

Racing are having a shocking season. They were 14-10 up at halftime.
