Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Saracens 23-13 Ospreys at halftime.
Theres something about this game im not enjoying but not sure what it is..

Maybe its two teams Ive no real interest in or would consider a team i liked...

Anyway its been a bit dull..

Jason Holland should be forced to watch this game, Saracens are showing how to get around Ospreys' aggressive rush defence, something that Munster dismally failed to do last week.

    Try Saracens, crucial score.

    Fantastic conversion from Biggar. 28-24

PP were quoted Ospreys at 9/1 to win about 5 minutes ago.

    Comon Stringer

    Great reception for Stringer.

Saracens with a lot of brainless kicking

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Saracens 5m scrum, Fussell should have kicked that. Instead he tries to run out of defense and it causes a comedy show.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Saracens kick 3 points, Ospreys about to get one back.

I really think Saracens should have kept opting for scrums, a try was likely. Plus that would have been a BP try.

    31-26, Biggar scores.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Saracens win 31-26. They really could have gotten 5 points and left Ospreys with none had they gone for a reset scrum near the end.

Treviso going really well this season. Biarritz losing to them again! French in general are giving a fairly bad account of themselves this year - Toulouse aside as usual. Obviously a bit premature but I reckon the pool winners will be; Munster, Cardiff, Leinster, Leicester, Sarries, Toulouse. Hard to know who'll be the best runners up, maybe Ulster and Scarlets? Some possibly mouth watering quarters there. HEC has to be the best tournament in the world.

Didn't catch the second half. How'd Strings do?

Also, little OT but... How the hell did Wembley turn around for XFactor so quickly? Thought that'd be a huge logistics issue.

Are you thinking of wembley arena?

Wembley Arena in not Wembley stadium. Would you want to be at an out door concert in the middle of winter:eek:

I thought he was okay. Good control and composure at a critical time. He put one particularly good kick behind the Osprey defence.

Wembley Arena is right outside the stadium, they're not the same. If you're walking up Wembley Way towards the stadium, the Arena is on your right.

Logistics were still an issue though as there was a little crossover of foot traffic. If it was a premiership football match I doubt it would've been allowed, the kickoff would've been bumped much further up.

Stringer managed well, but his pass has really lost accuracy. A good few times he was putting the ball behind Hodgson and completely stalling him and killing his space. But they haven't been playing together long so that will surely improve. His speed to the breakdown was impressive, but he has certainly declined.

It was a great day out. Weird as a neutral, but at least I could shout for Strings and Bowe and the Ospreys fans were good craic (the Saracens fans were trying their best to bore everyone else into submission I think).

Haha, that makes sense. I've been to Wembley but didn't know there was an arena near it.

So, does it look like Stringer will be first choice once he settles in?

When it's empty it looks like a big warehouse, very easy to miss. I, being manly, went to see Westlife there but I reckon if I hadn't (Or if it didn't have a massive X on it for the X Factor) I wouldn't know it was there tbh.

I don't think he will be, just because he's on a short term deal and they have a 19 year old playing pretty well. To me it would make sense to stick with the younger guy unless Strings really impresses.

Glasgow playing tremendously at home, they'll be tough for Leinster. Glad we won't have to win there.

Have to say, I do like the clapping that the French fans do as kickers are preparing. Creates a great atmosphere

That's the best stadium in the world for atmosphere, it's the best I've been to anyway (in many sports as well!).

Malzieu with a great break in the build up. Sensational player.

Sky Sports boys are very quick to hype Fofana as France's number 12, gotta be Jauzion IMO.
