Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What if all you get is a bag from a Chinese supermarket that is lucky?

Buy bag for a couple of cents, sell for $20

  • Registered Users Posts: 136 ✭✭Batzoo

Spoiler alert, I ordered 2 of these to see if the contents were random. Both Arrived today.

I was expecting boxes but got two bubblewrapped bags.

    Opened the first one.

    Contents:

    One red plastic carrier bag.
One Deal extreme branded Iphone 5 cover.
One Capacitive touch stylus. Package was filthy, covered in thick dust, must have been sitting in a warehouse for a long time.
    One 4GB micro sd card.
One Wecan iW500 Ispace Iphone remote control car. These are obvious returns.

Second bag identical contents to first.

Overall I am very disappointed as I was hoping for a few cd's or something I could use (don't own an Iphone). May get some use out of the sd cards after I check them to make sure they are actually 4GB.

That car looks nice. i'll be chuffed with the bag if I get one of them in it.

I got a deal extreme branded iphone 5c case with screen protector

A nanofone NF769 mini walkie talkie one of them which is handy because I may as well be talking to myself most of the time round here

And a set of LED christmas tree lights

Not bad for 20 dollars if the walkie talkie works i'll be well impressed

Yep, I forgot to mention the Iphone case comes with a screen protector, This case may be common to all. Also the sd card was wrapped in a small piece of red bubble wrap, easy to miss so make sure you all check.

My main disappointment is the fact that both my bags were content identical, only the cars are different colours. Would have liked a little more variety of junk.

Cant believe these bag deals are still going, they've been rip-offs for years, better off spending the money on scratch cards.

Why the fcuk would Dealextreme think anyone would pay the guts of a grand for an iPhone and then wrap it in a Dealextreme cover? It would be like putting a Euro2 or PoundWorld logo on it.

P.O.S Dashcam. Fully charged the battery. came home from work today to check it out. Had enough time to set the time and look around a few settings, maybe 10 minutes total, low battery flashes up and it turns off.

win... i dont think so .. lol

That's how they're supposed to work. When you turn off your car they stop recording when the battery runs out. You don't need the camera to record for hours after you parked your car.

It's good to see that at least people got different contents to one another in some cases, unlike last time where most seemed to get the same junk. That IP camera looks alright if it works!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,028 ✭✭✭d31b0y

Still no sign of mine... :'(
Was here when I got home. What looks like a night vision camera. Looks like a return so probably broken. No power supply anyway. And an iPhone 5c case.

Delighted I didn't go for one of these now, I knew it was a waste of money but this is even worse than I thought. I was expecting hundreds of little things that you might get 1 decent thing out of.

login to the dealextreme website account manager and screenshot the screen which has your address along with total US$ 20.02

Send it along to them. they will release the package and you won't have to make further payments.

Your Fortune Is Here. Limited Offer Only in Chinese Lunar New Year. Big Discount!

I would look at it as an omen. The revenue think the package is worth over 26euro. You might have a winner!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,815 ✭✭✭imitation

Maybe thats why my ones delayed ! Or maybe it had a counterfit something or another and got blown up, who knows.

I was keeping an eye on my lucky bags progress using the tracking number. I became aware on 3rd April that the package had been sent to Customs.

I preemptively sent them a PDF of my PayPal invoice without waiting for their notification letter.

Seems that Customs have an Easter backlog as I only got the letter yesterday, followed promptly by an email confirming package would be delivered without charges.

If the invoiced value is under €22 (we all paid c.€18) then Customs should release the goods without charge.

I know mine contains an IP camera as that's what is listed on the Customs letter. The letter gives clear enough instructions on what to do. If you didn't use PayPal then a screen grab from DX website with the value will suffice.

Considering most IP cameras on DX are $40-60 I'm pretty happy with my outlay.

If you work that out, let me know. I am thinking of making a complaint. It might be slow going but they have been known to be decent in the past I think.

Its most likely PoE if it doesnt include a PSU. It'll cost you another €20 to get a PoE kit though...
