Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A wise man once said(at the Open Championship when Jason Day tee'd off.. Though he didn't win a major till the USPGA)... "Todays the day".

I think today could be the day for Galway.

What I want more though, win or lose, is a few years of consistency.
Back in the semis year after year and I fully believe we'll win one in the next 3/4 years provided this years performances are replicated.

The supporters, me .you and everybody that shouts for Galway need a win sooner not later.
Tomorrow would be fine and welcome.
Get consistent then ,keep winning .

    Galway, let's do this!

Bit of a first world problem but why do they make the ai tickets so wide?? The semi final ticket fitted nicely into my wallet, just like a 20 euro not but this one is very awkward indeed!

Any suggestions for a good Dublin City Centre pub. One that will have the volume up so you can hear the build up to the game?

Back in the Celtic Tiger days the tickets were even bigger and were laminated. They were made in the US and shipped over I think.

    Probably not a bad bet,
The game could be extremely tight for 65 minutes and Kilkenny still win by 8-10 points in the end, we've seen it so often in the past

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,925 ✭✭✭aidan24326

    What's the spread?

    Handicap betting.

For example KK are 8/15 to win the game with Paddy Power. But if you back them at (-3) you'll get 11/10. So they'd have to win by 4 pts or more. That's what he meant by 'covering the spread'. If someone was going to back KK that would probably be the way to go,as if they do win it could easily be by a 4+ margin.

    What's the spread?

    3 points

Yeah I know what it is - I meant how much is it!

If Kilkenny win, I'd fancy them to fit by more than 3 alright. But in going for a Galway win!

Hoping for a Galway win. Think it would be good for hurling to see kk beaten but for this to happen galway will have to perform to the best of their ability. Hopefully the game won't be decided by a bad decision or a sending off. This could be a cracker, especially if Galway make a good start.

I've a weeks wages on the cats! They'll win be at least 8 I'd say. Tipp were awful last day and Galway still only beat us by the minimum...

I was at the tipp kk final in 2011. Tickets were easily picked up outside quinns pub. I actually saw one fan approach a guard directing traffic with a sob story and the cop gave him a ticket! Tbf I imagine they're hill tickets or nally stand ones.

not often you see a derryman at a hurling game

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,276 ✭✭✭thinkstoomuch1

I normally go kk and all logic points to kk but today imo could be the one exception to the rule
I think Galway once management learn from tippeary game and there will be a point they have to change things like a player or sub and once it's done right and fast I think Galway will win today and today is there best chance
Kk are vulnerable today and next year won't be
Hurling needs Galway to win as no other teams going to beat kk next year

I think Galway will win today
I have concerns over cunningjham from last game however I'll trust him today as I do rate him as a good manager
Canning is due a big game
Galway I think will win it
Cunningham better position Galway lost the leinster title as you only get once chance beat kk
Has to be today and if it's a replay they won't win
    Has to be today
