Falling hair: Urtica stinging nettle drops

    Hi all,
    as per title i noticed in the last few weeks that my boyfriend was losing his hair on top of his head.
    At the moment he has a white spot with no hair of almost 1cm of size.
    Then that white spot got bumped and red.
    So, we googled and we found that nettle root can help to avoid the falling hair and to improve their growth.
    I went to a health shop and got this:

    He's taking this product since last saturday. The swelling is a bit better, the redness less visible but still there. What it's new is a secretion of (it seems) mucus. Before it was sticky and around the bottom of the hair, today it's fresh and at the scalp and around the bottom of the hair. Plus, he has bumps on his legs,they seems like hairs under skin.

    My question is: What this secretion can be?
    has someone tried this product? any review?
    And at last what can be that bump and redness on his scalp?
