    I use those zip fire lighters. Rip Roaring fire in minutes. Can't have the young fellah coming home to a cold house.

    I used to use matches but the lighters are so much handier, ones with the child lock of course, health and safety is paramount.

    OP has 50 matches apparently so shouldn't need a lighter for a while yet to light their tinder

    Maybe they are damp? You'd be a lot better off with a lighter. One of those big fancy long handled ones that people use to light gas cookers with.

    I find sometimes with the normal lighters, if you hold it at the wrong angle, the metal bit at the top gets hot and burns your fingers!!

    A friend of mine signed up for it before Christmas. Having great success. The flute is almost worn off him with all the riding he's doing. Has developed an alcohol dependency as well though with all the beer he's drinking during the dates that proceed the bedroom action.
