I used to use matches but the lighters are so much handier, ones with the child lock of course, health and safety is paramount.

Maybe they are damp? You'd be a lot better off with a lighter. One of those big fancy long handled ones that people use to light gas cookers with.

I find sometimes with the normal lighters, if you hold it at the wrong angle, the metal bit at the top gets hot and burns your fingers!!

Get the app installed !! It's so worth it !!! I have it 3 months and it's well worth the space on my phone . I have met at least a person every second week off it and have had my fun !

Yeah I don't get that either. Someone likes my pic but hasn't been active in a week!! But that happened and he then sent me a message so might be just latency in the system

With some people on it they are looking for hook ups so it makes it easy to organise one with out the effort of pulling in a club . At least you can get to know someone slightly before you get to a one night stand .
Also I'm not that hot at all so it works for me and it can work for anyone !!

you can make your own tinder by putting old bits of cotton cloth in a something like a Fishermans Friends tin. Put in a fire until the cloth is carbonised.

Tinder is like "Hot or Not" from years back but its location based. You log in, upload a few pix of yourself and now you browse photos of other girls/guys and click yes to the ones you like. When they log in, at some stage they will see your picture and if they click yes you get a match - and you can chat. If either ones says no, nothing happens. That's it, very simple, very effective.

I've done pretty well out of it and now dating a girl I met on Tinder. A friend of mine who was absolutely and utterly opposed to all forms of online dating for many years, I managed to persuade her to give it a try as she had been single for a long long time...Anyway first guy she met fell madly in love and now they are moving in together.

It's just a more modern way of meeting people. Makes it very simple - when you have a match you know you are both interested so takes some of the bs out of the whole game..
