Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Douglas Neil Adams (DNA), was the author of hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. He was born in the year Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) was discovered. He attended the university it was discovered in. He was a commited atheist but conceeded if god existed he was having a good laugh.

When getting the bus from Carrickmacross to Inniskeen the bold Patrick Kavanagh used to plonk his little suitcase in the middle of the aisle and sit on it rather than sit on a seat. As schoolgirls would semi-step over him to pass him by he would stick his hand up their skirts. Dirty old bugger!

    1) 5% - 15% of children born in the western world are the victims of paternity fraud.

    2) 50% of women would lie to their partner if they became pregnant by another man.

    3) The previous two facts, coupled together, are the orgination of term "YORE MA".

The phrase "how's it going?" Comes from the days of yore when doctors to the french princes would ask Ca Va? Or it goes? ie. How is your pooh flowing from your body.
Basically they felt that if it was in good running order then you are in good health, which is true to a large extent.
So next time someone asks you how's it going? You can say firm but soft in the middle.

Modern coka cola machines are easily hacked into as their default password is rarely changed. If the vending machine has an LCD read out it can be hacked.

To access the machines menu use the first 4 drink buttons on the machine from left to right, the left most being 1 and the right most being 4. Enter the code 4231. You can then scroll through the machines menu using this guide:
    Button 1 - Exit/Back
    Button 2 - Up
    Button 3 - Down
    Button 4 - Select

AFAIK, most of the machines will have the option to despense any money from the machine locked. But most will have the ability to despense free can's of coke enabled, but some won't. enjoy :D I know there is a few machines in Toronto airport that allow it.

Also, all modern jukebox machines have the reset/onoff switch underneath them in a little hole. So if you're in Bruxelles one night and some plank has Roots by Sepultura on constant repeat you know what to do ;)

Yes, Alaska is indeed the most Easterly US state, and no, it doesn't cross the International date line, but one no-so-small fact overlooked by my overzealous namesake is that the IDL does not coincide with the 180 degree meridian.

West Quoddy lighthouse, Maine: 66º57' W

Semisopochnoi Island is part of the Rat Islands group in the western Aleutian Islands. The island is uninhabited and provides an important nesting area for maritime birds. The island is of volcanic origin, containing several volcanoes including Mount Cerberus. Semisopochnoi has a land area of 221.673 km² (85.588 sq mi). At 179°46'E, it is the easternmost location in the United States and North America, as it sits only 14 minutes west of 180°, and therefore in the Eastern Hemisphere. "Semisopochnoi" (Russian: Семисопочный) means "Seven Hills".

You can "hack" a lot of lifts too. If you want to go straight to your floor without the lift stopping at others on the way: press and hold the Close Door btn and then press the btn for your floor.

yes its true, and I assume its legal because you are not tampering with the machine in anyway and only using features it has built in. A lot of these machines will have the auto vend feature disabled, so you won't be able to get any cans out, but you will still be able to access the submenus to see how many cans people have bought in the last month or whatever.

Also, yeah forgot about that one nice1franko, that feature was built into lifts so paramedics rushing to someones help in an apartment building could get to the ground floor without the lift being stopped.

Stewardesses is the longest word typed with only the left hand.

In order to recover all Fourier components of a periodic waveform, it is necessary to use a sampling rate of at least twice the highest waveform frequency. The Nyquist frequency, also called the Nyquist limit, is the highest frequency that can be coded at a given sampling rate in order to be able to fully reconstruct the signal.
