Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A teacher, and Queen of the World.

Despite my best efforts, I'm not Queen of the World (yet).

You have no chance unless you're infected with the ghey.:P

For me it went like this growing up:

    1. Paleontologist
    2. Army Officer
    3. Doctor
    4. Scientist
    5. Writer

I'm about to graduate as No. 4 but I think I'm going to try and become either No. 2 or No. 3 . . . or both!!
    A writer...

But now I'm a scientist who can only write in the third person passive, terrible sad really! :)

Yeah I'm the same, science isn't exactly great at encouraging your creative writing side!

    Batman's a scientist.

    I wanted to be Batman.

Captain America was a scientific experiment, so you can stop your whining.

I wanted to make jokes like the funny people do on tv.

Binman!, I remember telling my mother and she went mad. I thought it would be great to hang off the back of a truck all day. Still do TBH! and would not mind it at all after talking to 3 mates in the corpo, one just worked a while there as a binman and the others knew guys who were, they can earn an absolute fortune with overtime. One of the lads is on stupid money and gets ridiculous time off too.

I wanted to be an air hostess until someone told me i'd never be tall enough ... 5ft4 or so isn't short, right?! :P

Then I wanted to be a teacher and I think I might end up lecturing in years to come but we'll see how that pans out.

I wanted to be a doctor. I'm a medical student now. Getting there!

I wanted to be a doctor when I was younger - right up until the start of 6th year. Realised at that stage that I was too squeamish for it. The year I did my LC I actually had enough points to do med...

Ended up doing a computer science degree. It remains to be seen whether that was an incredibly dumb move on my part.

I think I was about 6 when I was asked what I would like to do, and I told them I wanted to be a barrister. I may have aimed a little high. I now clean the local court room and snitch case details to the factory rags :pac:

Not really no, yes to the barrister bit though. But that had something to do with the fact that I was being brain-washed by my mum. I hadnt a clue, and didnt really find out till my mid-twenties.. I'm getting there ;)
