Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Amy Ryan/Beatrice Russell is in Green Zone on C4 atm. She looks much better than she did in Baltimore.

Went to see Get Hard last night and Paul Ben Victor aka Spiros Vondas is in it. He hasnt changed a bit!
I also spotted a woman that i knew was in the wire but couldnt figure out what character. I thought it was Lesters girlfriend Shardene but it turned out to be one of Omars gang, Tosha, played by a stunning Edwina Findley.
Not a bad show. The story is pretty lame but a good few laughs in it.

Spotted 2 ads for movies in the last few days.
Michael B Jordan aka Wallace is in a new boxing movie called Creed.

Pablo Shreiber aka Nick Sobatka is in a soldier movie called 13 Hours. He was also in a comedy series last year called The Brink, dunno if its mentioned here, its funny, worth a watch.

Idris Elba is supposed to be playing Roland in The Dark Tower movies. He's one of my favourite actors but anyone who has read The Dark Tower series will know that this is a very strange casting. Best of luck to him though, he could just pull it off..

If true it's a horrible casting decision.

I like Elba but he is no Roland for me. He's far too physically imposing and impressive.

I read all those books and, to me, Roland should be hard-bitten and spare.

A middle aged Clint Eastwood is the obvious ideal- who could do it now...? Hard to say, Viggio Mortenson in The Road mode springs to mind immediately. Andrew Lincoln maybe...

Nathan Barksdale, the former Baltimore gangster who inspired characters in "The Wire," has died in federal medical prison in North Carolina at age 54.

Barksdale, who went by the nickname "Bodie," was a notorious Baltimore criminal in the 1980s, running a violent heroin-dealing operation in the Murphy Homes. He was shot more than 20 times and had to have his right leg amputated below the knee.

Key characters on "The Wire" included nods to Barksdale, such as a drug kingpin Avon Barksdale and another dealer named "Bodie" Broadus. Nathan Barksdale eagerly embraced the connections, releasing a DVD that chronicled his life and in which he was interviewed by the actor Wood Harris, who played the Avon Barksdale character.

"In real life he was one of the most notorious and resilient gangster drug kingpins Baltimore has ever seen," a narrator on the video says. "He was a magnet for violence."

A mini "The Wire" reunion is coming to TV this weekend.

Tray Chaney and J.D. Williams, who played Poot and Bodie on the HBO drama, respectively, are together again in the drama "Saints & Sinners," which airs at 9 p.m. Sunday on Bounce TV.

Chaney is Kendrick Murphy, while Williams plays Jabari Morris in the show that follows the drama surrounding a Southern Baptist church in small-town Georgia. The two characters are involved in a heist and will be seen on "Saints & Sinners" for the next three Sundays.

Both actors appeared in all five seasons of "The Wire," playing drug dealers in the Baltimore-based drama.

Bounce can be seen on channel 203 on Comcast in Baltimore city. It's also on Verizon Fios 459 and WMAR's digital channel 2.3.

Bodie has barely changed. He'll never be able to escape that role...

Unsurprisingly, many of the cast of The Wire are also appearing in David Simon's new show, The Deuce, about the rise of the porn industry in the seedy criminal underworld of 1970s New York.
First episode looked quite promising, with a few familiar faces.

Was not planning on watching that, but I didn't know it was Simon's.

You won't be disappointed, unless like me you prefer to binge watch an entire series, but it is excellent.

Nick Sabotka/Pablo Schreiber plays one of the lead roles in Den of Thieves alongside Fifty Cent and Gerard Butler, a decent but predictable modern cops and robbers thriller.
