    In college so basically live out of a backpack that carries a whollle lot...

    2 textbooks for Spanish
    Spanish dictionary
    Folder & A4 pad
    Ringbound A4 pad
    Academic Diary (cos I'd forget to do my assignments unless they're all recorded in one place)
    Various novels and plays for English (Currently The Tempest, Tamburlaine and Titus Andronicus)
    'La Casa de Bernada Alba' for Mod. Spanish Lt
    An umbrella
    Keys
    Tissues
    Strip of Feminax
    Strip of Motilium
    Make up wipes
    Mini bottle of perfume
    Spare socks (Puddles everywhere)
    2 tampons
    Pencil case with various pens and highlighters

    Um... Carkeys. Wallet. Phone. Lip balm. Tissues. Sun screen. Emery board. Hair toggle tie thingie. Fire-starting pile of receipts. Change for the supermarket trolley. Inner pocket is a chemist stash of tampons, ibuprofen, paracetamol, antacids and antihistamines.

    I've gotten a lot better about the handbag thing - I downsized my wallet to something that fits in a jacket pocket, and will usually happily leave the house with just wallet, phone and carkeys.

    ...this could be, however, because I've turned my car into one enormous handbag on wheels.

    ...let's not start a "what's in the boot of your car?" thread.

    I've always bought small bags to avoid "handbag debris". Once I have room for my wallet, keys, phone, maybe a hairbrush and small amount of make-up I'm happy. Last week though I bought a pretty big bag to accommodate my laptop and I've been using it quite a lot. Maybe I'll report back here in a couple of months' time!!
