    Do posters apart from mods or users that are obviously female actually get unsolicited pm's?
    My only unsolicited ones are from people I've been bickering with :( (I presume mod warnings don't count as unsolicited ;) )
    And the person that left me the public message "Ian?" , for the record I'm not Ian!

    What do you mean unsolicited? I'd get messages the odd time from people I'd interact with on thread/users I'd get on with or like. I'd send a few as well to the same people.

    I've never got any nasty messages, a few pervy ones on my last account. None on this one, must be the username. :pac:

    I got a weird one before. Someone asked me who I would recommend as a good journalist in Ireland,someone not afraid to tackle the issues. Never heard of the poster before the pm, so it was weird .

    One asking me for tips on picking up women when I had posted in a thread that was about the difficulties of meeting someone of the opposite sex.

    I'm a guy and have gotten a few... sent a few. Sometimes it's a followup on some in thread flirting, other times it's just to say "hi". I've actually gone on to meet many of them at beers and sometimes outside of beers. Generally they've been great people!
