Do posters apart from mods or users that are obviously female actually get unsolicited pm's?
My only unsolicited ones are from people I've been bickering with (I presume mod warnings don't count as unsolicited )
And the person that left me the public message "Ian?" , for the record I'm not Ian!

What do you mean unsolicited? I'd get messages the odd time from people I'd interact with on thread/users I'd get on with or like. I'd send a few as well to the same people.

I've never got any nasty messages, a few pervy ones on my last account. None on this one, must be the username. :pac:

I got a weird one before. Someone asked me who I would recommend as a good journalist in Ireland,someone not afraid to tackle the issues. Never heard of the poster before the pm, so it was weird .

I'm a guy and have gotten a few... sent a few. Sometimes it's a followup on some in thread flirting, other times it's just to say "hi". I've actually gone on to meet many of them at beers and sometimes outside of beers. Generally they've been great people!

Sometimes a thread goes to a place with a meaning I can't follow.

Had a guy constantly trying to sell me sunglasses after I posted in the Eyesight forum, no matter how much I told him I didn't want prescription sunglasses, insisted, "They'd look good on you chick!" - reported him in the end. He wasn't listening to reason either, I can't wear prescription sunglasses, but no, his were magic, apparently. Even told him on thread "I'm not going to buy lenses off you no matter how many times you PM me!" After reporting him the PMs stopped, thankfully. Saw him do the same to other people in other threads on the same forum though.

Once got a pm asking me how Supermacs make their chicken? Random.

I also got one where the boardsie apologised profusely to me for something they said to me publicly....even though I wasn't offended and I cant remember what it was about but I'm pretty sure it wasn't said in anger or malice....? I think I answered them publicly in joke form and they took that to mean I was peeved at them. Strange but lovely.

I get the occasional rather strange sexual question about my relationship whenever I mention it or it comes up directly or indirectly in a thread.

The two weirdest ones were along the lines of "Have you considered how much money you might make if you pimp them out?" and "Have you used carrots with them?"

My favourite of all time however was the user who claimed they were doing a survey / study of vagina structures and the prevalence of differences like "inny and outty" and so forth. And any photographs I would care to provide from the girls of theirs to add to his collection would be much appreciated. All for science don't you know.

Other than that - the majority of PMs I get from users are ones who wish to express to me their horror and the sheer immorality of me having had children in my relationship. I get quite a number of those usually in a tone of sheer rage I can not adequately communicate to you here in words. Suffice it to say - these people are _pissed off_.

The rest, like _Whimsical_, are questions about how I would advise them to meet or pick up women, which for some reason they think I must be somewhat expert at.
