    krudler,
Nice shots considering they are from a phone.
Had you had a good camera the shot with the pigeons could have been brilliant.

    :)

What development is that on the pic on the bottom right.

Could you post pictures of your favourite new buildings in the city. I haven't been in Limerick in a long time and I would like to see more of the modern side of the city.:)

Great pics btw. Limerick really is a picturesque city going by what we have seen.

    .

Would think it's the development on the old An Post site on Henry St, photo taken from top of Garda Station or Estuary Hse.

Yep because you can see the side of the AIB building in the background (the windows gave it away)

Thanks for the nice words. :)

I live in Limerick for three years. I know what it means to think about your beloved city.;)

Now, only two pictures. But at night I'll add more. Today I did "a session" for you. Seriously. New buildings and modern part of town.

I like the the first second picture on you posted stan that seems to be Henry street. I see the Marriot alright, could you name the buildings (especailly the news ones) because most of us are familar with some of the new buildings.

Is the Hanging gardens site back in action. There is still much potential in Henry street.

The pic you posted of Henry street looks good, it still needs some more stricking buildings that blend into the red brick imo. Henry street can become one of the best modern streets in the country. Good to see a high density pattern. All buildings seem to be at least over 5/6 storys.

Shame, but I don't know how to call most of the buildings. I know where is the shop, or what office. :o I believe that someone from the forum will give the exact names of buildings or owners. :)

I believe Limerick will pull through. people should be proud of how great the city looks now. There is still development going on in some places. That development ran into money problem just before the crash.

Limerick will see progress on the pedestrianistaion and improvements to the city after the long waited bypass. So thats more good news.

Henry street looks fantastic at that angle. High rise looks well in Limerick becuase of the wide grid streets.

Stan - just to say thanks for those. Some cracking shots. Refreshing to see a newcomer's take on what can tend to pass into the background, unnoticed, for those of us who grew up here. Cheers.
