Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I reckon this Gary Barlow thing might rival Liveaid or the final Beatles' gig on the roof of Abbey Road studios. Bloody RTE and their Irishness.

I'm sick to death of people putting Joe Duffy up on a pedestal as if he was actually somebody worth of admiration.. Supposed socialist, he's on 250K from the pockets of working class people of a broke country for a few hours a week. Joe Duffy is THE biggest hypocrite in the country..

250K, last I heard he was on 400K. He was on 500K a few years ago but he took a cut so he could feel the pinch like the common man. God I really hate socialism.

See you all back here in 50 years to confirm! :)

We should have had a drinking game every time Bressie, Kian and Co were mentioned!

Fireworks on television! :pac: Nice for people who are institutionalised I suppose.

If you have a good sound system plugged into your TV, the London NYE fireworks are not only visually stunning, but audibly mesmerizing too :))

There is also a pumping soundtrack, which adds to the booms and bangs of the display . . . . .

We would all end up meeting in the A&E tonight to ring in the New Year if we did that.

I invented a new game where I actually throw the drinking vessel at the TV every time Bressie, Kian and Co are mentioned.. also, when Joe Duffy appears, I grab the TV and put it in the recycling bin..

I completely agree that Gary Barlow is just as good as the Beatles and putting on the most fantastic thing that I have ever seen. He is truly amazing. He might actually be the second coming of Christ.

They should send a tape of it over to RTE. Unfortunately, it might not play just like Hector breaking for the border.

That tape played second time round, unfortunately.

Is The Gathering funding not just the taxpayer or am I missing something? We are paying for this twice over.

Girl in the white dress is Aobheann McGinnity.... actress from Love/Hate.. She plays Nidge's wife..

Here's an interesting story in light of the fact that Danny just split up with Laura Whitmore

Danny O’Reilly is not dating Love/Hate star Aoibhinn McGinnity – they’re just friends, says Danny’s mum Mary Black
