You can do a ninja edit of a post for the first 2 minutes from posting.

You can edit a post yourself up to 48 hours.

The difference is, is that after the first 2 minutes the post is marked as edited at the bottom of the post.

Usually if you want a post removed it would need to contain personal information, e.g. A phone number, email address, links to facebook profile etc.

OP, if you want to not draw attention to something, then you need to stop drawing attention to it, certainly in AH.
Let it fade in to obscurity.
A lot of new posters dont realise AH isnt really for any personal or private type discussions they may prefer forgotten soon.:)

Let me introduce you to Victor. 61,800 posts, but I think he got clocked in 2007 back to 0 posts :D

No-one could ever delete Victor's posts, the hamsters would create a chain reaction causing all of Leinster to collapse inwards.

Yeah the cheek of him, it's not as if he's mike65 or anything!

A little known fact is that your post history is actually stored in a folder on your local machine. Locate and delete System32 and your posts will disappear from here as well. Best of luck.

How do you delete a post?

    Nimrod 7 wrote: »
Ask a mod of the specific forum to delete them but please, only do it if it's necessary. Don't just keep PM them asking to delete 40 posts because you don't like them.

You can only edit/delete them yourself for 2 days after posting.
