I'm taking a wild stereotypical guess here but if you are a young male (poss on a provisional) I would get insurance quotes before starting to shop seriously. Nothing more heartbreaking than the perfect car that you can afford to buy but not insure...

I would recommend one of these very highly.
Insurance could be a problem depending on your age.
Also, tax will be €1491.00 from July (currently €1343.00)
I paid €945.00 for VRT on mine in November.

full licence only want to get a really nice car cause im sick of taking **** for getting crap cars

how much wud insurance be on average for an fto?
im 23 1 years no claims and 2 years named driver with quinn
was looking at a mazda mx3 r sumting was pretty nice

no other license required. If you do your test in an auto you can only drive autos.

Have you considered a Honda Prelude? The 2.2Vtecs are sh*t quick. They look great, and because they're Honda they'll go forever! Not very expensive either so you'll get a great one with 6/7k..

if you do your test in a manual you can drive manual or auto. The auto box in the FTO is ahead in terms of changing speed of many auto boxes on 08 cars, as it's tiptronic it has a manual change function, which is super quick. It also adapts changes to your driving style.

Thought tiptronic was semi-automatic? No clutch needed. Similar to paddles?

The gearbox in the FTO is based on Porsche's Tiptronic, and is called INVECS II. It adapts to the driver's style.

More than half of all FTO GPXes had the INVECS II box.

Could'nt agree more. At the time of the coupe's launch it was the fastest accelerating FWD production car. Supposed to be very relabile too.

Fiat Coupes are super cool. It was on my shortlist of cars before I bought the FTO, The reliability thing put me off, but you can be lucky with them.

Try St Pauls travellers insurance. May have to go through a broker though. Creane & Creane should be able to let you know.

The car is a GPX MIVEC, this model was never sold new in Ireland, so the only way it can be insured is as an import. the model is listed. This is how to put it in:

Only the FTO Ralliart was sold in the UK through Mitsubishi dealers.

why would they list the other models. All FTOs are imports. they were never sold here new.
