    Much like the previous What's on in the City? thread, the same principles apply.

    Here you can notify others of things; events, happenings, concerts, good restaurants, table quizzes, fundraisers, classes, for the month and following months. Any events pertaining to later months will be carried over until the event is over.

    A few rules, however;
    You have to have 200 posts or more to post, or >1 years on boards.
    Once an event has been posted in this thread don't repost it - no bumping or reminding of events either.
    Old events, too much chat, spam or topics that don't belong will be (re)moved.

    091 Labs will be holding Saturday workshops through the autumn, beginning next week. Photography techniques, soldering and web design will be the first topics covered.

    There's a zombie walk leaving the Spanish arch heading up town shortly, good crowd gathering down this end.

    Two events will be held as part of the "Trad for Trocaire" fundraising appeal
    ( see http://www.trocaire.org/trad ):
    1. Session @ 12 noon, Saturday 27th. September, Tigh Choili
    2. Session @ 9pm, Thursday 2nd. October, The Western Hotel
    These are family friendly traditional Irish music sessions, admission is free but everyone is encouraged to throw a euro or 2 in to the buckets for Trocaire. All musicians are welcome to join in. Come along to enjoy some lively music with some of the best musicians in Galway. :)
