Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I went for a cycle around London, over to Hyde Park. The area around the Park is jam packed with people and heaps and heaps of rubbish all over the place... street cleaners out with brushes, shovels and sprayer trucks... and it was only 4pm. The Park itself is all fenced off so people can not get in unless they have a ticket. Many people standing outside or on top of monuments trying to listen / see. I could hear the Stereophonics playing a few songs, then decided to head home and watch the rest of TV.

Snoop Dogggy Dog on now from Phili.

Did anyone see Robbie WIlliams trying to chat up the BBC presenter? They cut him off as he was making a mockery of the whole point of Live8.

    Snoopy is rocking now.

Anyone know why the hell Velvet Revolver are playing Live8?!

I like them alright, but they don't exactly seem like the kind of band that you would associate with World Poverty aid. I'm wondering what they are going to play.. Sweet Child of Mine?? ... Sex Type Thing??? The mind boggles.

Just saw a bit of Green Day from Berlin... they were totally rocking... crowd there seem deadly compared to London.

Snoop is now singing "Snoop Doggy Dog, what is my name?"...!

The American show seems to be more of a music concert than a poverty drive. Crowd are going mental too.

Mr. Ross is going to have a lot of apologies to make shortly.

Although I guess it was OK 20 years ago when Saint Bob asked us to give him our f**king money though.

the philly concert sounds much better or at least there's a better vibe about it, its kinda reminiscent of the original live aid that way, people are really getting into it over there which is just as well really because it's the Americans who need to wake up. There are over 1.5 million people at the philly concert.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,165 ✭✭✭bennyx_o

Graham Norton said earlier on BBC that they closed quarter of the city for the concert.

Snoop may of very well stolen the London show. It was just great music and a great sound.

The Philly concert is great though, much better than the London one in my opinion. Will Smith was ****ing amazing. He did the theme to the Fresh Prince, and then Summer Time, the crowd did a great job, got it word for word. The DJ Jazzy Jeff looked like they were just having a good time, and it showed.
