is on Q102 right now. absolutely brilliant*. My mam switched me on to ernie and he is so lovely.

20 songs are being played each night between now and thursday and they were all voted for by listeners. I was afraid that it would be all pop stuff, but some great classics - foreigner "Ive been waiting for a girl like you" is on at the moment.

    Enjoy girlies!!

*Now considering that Ive just broken up with my fiancé, love songs should be the last thing that makes me happy right now:rolleyes:, but I love em:o

I really doubt it does. Commercial cliched pop all the way littered with the usual one hit wonders thrown in for good measure.

This is the top 20 songs we get asked for at weddings:

1 You're The First, The Last, My Everything - Barry White
2 The Rose - Bette Midler
3 Love Me Tender - Elvis Presley
    4 Thank You - Dido
5 More Than Words - Extreme
    6 Building A Mystery - Sarah McLachlan
    7 It's Only Love - The Beatles
    8 Let's Stay Together - Al Green
9 Three Times A Lady - The Commodores
    10 I'll Be There - The Jackson 5
    11 Nothing Compares 2 U - Sinead O'Connor
    12 I Got You Babe - Sonny & Cher
13 Wicked Game - Chris Isaak
14 Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton
    15 Faithfully - Journey
16 And I Love Her - The Beatles
17 I Want You To Want Me - Cheap Trick
    18 Careless Whisper - George Michael/Wham!
    19 Superstar - The Carpenters
20 I Will Always Love You - Whitney Houston

Now I know Sinead O'Connor is in there, and I really hate that songs! It was actually written by Price, who sings it on his greatest hits album and it sounds much better! Also notice Journey is listed, so next time you hear Don't Stop believing, just remember they do sloppy stuff as well!

But the all time top song we get asked for is My First, My Last, My Everything by The Love Whale, Mr Barry White. I think that will go down as the most requested love song of all time.

Oh and Happy Valentine's Day for Thursday! I got to do a wedding that day, how original eh?!

Have a good week ladies  (oh sorry have to be PC), AND gents!))

    I love that song!

Do you remember a band called Wilson Phillips? Wilson Phillips is an American singing group consisting of Carnie and Wendy Wilson and Chynna Phillips. The group is also known for being the offspring of prominent musicians; the Wilsons are the daughters of Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys, while Phillips' parents are John Phillips and Michelle Phillips of The Mamas & the Papas !

That ends Trivia Today! PMSL :D:D:D

Well if you have heard the song Hold On http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naXCGpABh9I then you might think no! LOL They're first album was called Wilson Phillips, original or what? :D Then they had 3 other albums, but they weren't that good. Maybe should have left it to the parents! :D

It's weird, a million fantastic love songs written and Q102 manages to pull them all from the pop pile.

    Scary.
