I beat Diablo 3 last year on PS4 and never went back to it. So the other night I started it up again and while the game is still fun I'm unsure of what I should be doing.

Is the aim to do the Bounties and Rifts? I completed 2 Bounties last night and when I played it today there was a different set of Bounties available.

Also one thing that never clicked with me when I was playing was inventory management. Is there a way to know if I should be picking up items that drop or just leave them?

I guess the main question is, is there an end goal? Is there a certain set of amour that I should be aiming for? Can you buy armour or is it just a random drop?

do rifts for loot , greater rifts are good fun and they drop legendary gems that you can upgrade and the bounties give rift stones and also if you complete all the bounties in a given act the box that is given as a an award has a chance to drop a ring called the ring of grandeur..it reduces the amount of armour from a set that has to be worn to get all the effects...i.e wear 4 bits of armour from a set and get a bonus as if you had 5 on.

Each class has a couple of sets that are brilliant,The raekor armour set for the barbarian is a beast.Generally decent armour sets will give you a bonus for wearing 6 parts of it.Thats where the ring of grandeur comes in handy.

they only drop on torment level1 or higher.

Also look into enchanting any of your kit once you reckon it will do for awhile.depending on your build you might be looking at getting the best crit hit chance and crit hit damage so enchant those attributes.

I collect everything and generally recycle it all.

not sure what level you are at but level 70 isnt the end..there's paragon levels which allow you to boost certain stats.

I'm finding inventory management a real hassle. I always seem to be hovering around the maximum limit as I'm not sure what to pick up or leave. So I always end up picking up every thing.

Although I have started to ignore Blue items now.

Unless you've just reached level 70 you can ignore the yellow items too.

Like I said Josey pick everything up and recycle all that you dont use including legendary.

my inventory has 1 section for crafting/gems etc
and the rest is full of mainly green set items with a small amount of normal legendary stuff.

Yeah, I've been dipping in and out sporadically for a while, usually late. I haven't really kept up to date with optimum builds or anything. Have full FB set on Wizard. Getting totally owned on Grift 25 T3. I've been away too long full time. Damn you Destiny.

That Kanai's Cube thing seems crazy good. 3 legendary item buffs, without need to equip the item? Sounds good to me.

Came back to this for the first time since beating it when it came out. 25 hours played and not a single legendary. Took me 15 minutes to find a legendary zweihander and every drop had better armour than I was wearing, mental.

Pretty much the entire mechanics of the game have changed.

To be fair, Blizz have massively corrected the game since vanilla.

dunno, i know the seasons thing is pc only but the patch might be across all platforms, just may not be all at the same time as it's scheduled for the season update.. ie: might be later for consoles than pc

Season 3 ended yesterday.
Patch will be Tuesday night / Wednesday morning. (Servers usually online approx 10am GMT)
Season 4 will begin Friday at 5pm GMT.

I guess it gives seasonal players a few days to try out the new stuff before beginning a seasonal toon and grinding.

I don't think I'll be doing season this time around.
Going to play my barb and DH only. Not too many new items that make it worth while for me.

yeah i might pass on this season too, at least at the start anyway. the whole competitive race to 70 and who has the best luck with RNGesus for leaderboard ranks in the first few days is a load of bollix, especially when you're sh!t out of luck in hardcore

I have Both PC and PS4 versions.

In a way its cool that PS4 version has no seasons and get all the stuff. I will end up playing both.

I enjoy leveling fresh characters.

Seems the decision to not have seasons on console is under review

I had to delete my first save on PS4,met a hacker and didnt realise he was hacking. Until we did a GRift and i went up about 100 paragon levels in about 5 mins. Totally spoiled it for me,so i deleted my save a started 100% fresh. Had 4 level 70 toons with my first save,still only 3 on the new save but at least there all legit. They will have to do something about the hacking on console if they wish to have leaderboards etc.

it'd have to be always online for it to work, ye wouldnt be able to play the seasonal character offline until after the season had concluded, i think that's why the didn't include it in the first place, that and the cheating

Hearing some good stories about the rare -> Legendary conversion on the Cube. Any good results for people so far?

Started fresh on a Wizard and i think Disintegrate might be broken. No other spell even comes close to it. Its as if it disregards my attack speed and uses its own. I compared it on a single target with Ray of Frost which does more damage but Disintegrate is killing things much faster

Anyone who played a Wizard before have experience with this? I'm currently level 61 (para 112) and playing on Torment 2 only because this spell is so strong. I don't have any reduced level requirement gear

yeah

had those bul kathos swords, but wanted a better one.
Crafted like 50 level 70 yellows from blacksmith and converted them.
got a nice set now.

wait until your level 70 and start getting the meteor set. the single target damage from it is just crazy. Wizards usually are played lately as boss nukers while DH, WD and Barb's clear trash.

Just hopped on to the ps4 version to see what the new patch was like. Joined a public game and within 5 seconds i had jumped over 100 paragon levels. So bloody annoying

You would be mad to roll a new character and not do season.
Im not a fan of seasons but for a new character you will get season only legendaries etc.

Just upgraded to windows 10 the other day and now for some reason act 2 wont load:mad:

Just shows the loading screen but I can hear the level start if you know what i mean.I can warp back to town but once I go back through the portal or use the map I get the same issue.

Have any of you's come across this.My drivers etc are up to date
EDIT:actually just desolate sands and seem to have found a fix.Will post if it works .

Haven't had any issues since I upgraded. Been a very smooth experience so far.

yeah from what i can gather its only relating to amd cards and it seems the older ones more so than the newer ones.

Got it working anyways.Had to put dx9 drivers(13.12) in the folder with the diablo 3 exe.

lol, went dh for season 4 - first ranged legendary was a kridershot, straight in the cube at 61. Got a decent low level crashing rain too, another one for the cube

just need a nats set now and i'm sorted for griftin'

Yeah, realised my mistake and started a season character last night

How does the Kunai Cube work? Just throw in a load of blues or yellows, and you might get an even better one? Or is there a specific way to do it?

you get specific legendary mats from bounties (1 type of mat from each bounty which increase in number with difficulty), those mats are used for everything for the cube and crafting

but.. if ye find a puzzlering or a bovine bardiche, just throw them into the cube and you'll get a portal to the vault and the cow level

For anyone playing Barb, I suggest you check out the new Hammer of the Ancients build.
It's crazy strong. Just completed grift 61 with it.

Previously, I was struggling to finish 52's on time.

And a few of my items are non ancient.. Can't imagine what a nice rift with top gear can do.

I'm levelling up a Wizard at the moment. I know i could get boosted to 70, but it's hilarious flying through on Hard with Dual Decimation and a cool legendary perk which causes secondary explosions. Had about 70 enemies just explode on my last night. Up to 40 and will hit 70 tonight.

Did all the bounties and got a ton of mats and crafting stuff that i guess is for the Cube.

Nice getting back into it for this patch and have the bare bones required for this build, running an old ricochet/cota build atm so with some luck can get this up and running quickly
