Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Going to Captin America's Saturday night. Have planned for it so kept 40 weeklies(and will have dailys) and won't be drinking. Can still imagion that I could do some damage, especially on 3.courses. Anybody have any tips/ idea of points?

    http://www.captainamericas.com/graftonst/menu/

For appetisers I would say the bruchetta or the ribs. Not the best choices but the best of a bad bunch.

For main course I would say the Cajun salmon or the grilled chicken deluxe (without the bun because you will probably have fries with it) or the southern salad or simple salad with chicken breast or the chicken fajitas and don't use much of the sauces.

For dessert I would say the icecream with chocolate or strawberry sauce.

    Enjoy :)

A pound off is still a weight loss, I wouldn't let it get you down.

Exactly. Google what a pound of fat looks like and you won't be so disappointed!

Thanks, ye are right! It's going in the right direction I suppose! Great idea Keesa, just googled it! That cheered me up! A pound is nothing to be sniffed at!:)

Got my head back in the game 2 weeks ago after finding myself back up a stone above my goal weight. Made a goal of 1lb a week to Xmas to get it off and 2 weeks in and I'm already down 7.5lbs! Pretty delighted. Have my first half marathon next weekend, full of nerves and excitement for it! Pretty terrified!

I have had a disaster of a week, it was my birthday on Wednesday and I let the indulgence and celebrations continue on. No where near as bad a week if I wasn't doing WW but still going to be up and it's only my 3rd week :(

Need to just draw a line under it and move on :)

Come on purple pawprints, you can do it too :) tomorrow is a new day:)

Snap! My birthday also was last Wednesday, and I've been very slack since. I missed my weigh in last week, and I'm not sure I'll make tomorrow's. So I'm getting out my tracker now, and tracking in advance for the next couple of days. I'm also packing my lunch, because I find that's a big help.

Hi Metime, I try and power walk and put as much wally into it as I can, if I can run some of it I do that too. I usually try to stay out for about an hour and a half, if I finish quicker I try and make the route longer. Just go at the speed that you are comfortable with, you will get faster as time goes on.

Hi purple, Don't lose hope, you will get there, if you try the running again you will get into it quicker this time, I did.. Mind you the scale is still slow but I am getting toned. This happened to me the first time I got to goal, the last few pounds took months and months to get off. Keep going!

quick question - I hit goal in 2011 and continued for about 18 months to get weighed, haven't been weighed in well over a year - have put back on about a half-stone so want to kick start things and re-join - anyone know if I have to pay a re-join fee or is it just the weekly tenner?

Hi cjdun1, I know there was something about having to attend about 5 or 6 meetings in a year or you had to rejoin again. I am not sure whether that has changed now.

no hassle in the castle - reckon I just need 6 kick-ass weeks to get this sorted - I'm not going back to the weight I was

  • Registered Users Posts: 570 ✭✭✭keesa

Purple, I think you need to sit down with a few post its and write one reason on each why ww is important for you, why are you doing it, and what do you want to achieve. Not just a number, but like "I want to be confident in wh at I wear" etc. And then write the reasons you don't want to. And make a decision. Stick them up by your mirror where you get ready in the morning. You could include a photo of you before you started too

  • Registered Users Posts: 388 ✭✭cjdun1

so went back for a weigh in after over 2 years last night - was a full half-stone above target - no great shocker to be honest, kick start now to get my butt sorted again :-)

I went back (again) last night and I stayed the same! :)

Lately I've been finding it so hard to stay focused but I'm taking it meal by meal at this stage.

Was up 2.5lb :( I probably deserved a pound or even 1.5lb. My body seriously does not like excess calories/points. New week, new motivation - My leader is so supportive which is a big help :)

I honestly think if I could fix my comfort eating, I'd be one of those annoying people who don't need to watch their weight.

Sure idbe mad not to! If anyone wants to c25k with me it woukd be cool. Ive no runners with me atm but will be wk4 day 1 done by monday evening regardless. I have a wedding coming up, bdays then its christmas. Needa start owning this flab y mess of a body!!

I hope your ok, but swimming is great if you've bad knees/ankles.

Weigh in in about an hour with my real class. I've been avoiding it since I had gone up so much. Fingers crossed

Lol, the physiotherapist said the same but I can't swim :o

I'll be grand in a week or so I'd say. I'm trying to keep on track with my eating so at least I might lose a couple of pounds even if I can't exercise.

Best of luck with your WI!

If it's just fruit its fine. Juice is pointed. If you're on filling and healthy then you can use milk or 0% fat Greek/natural yogurt. If you're pointing then they've points

Completed my first ever half marathon today and am feeling so proud of myself. I was aiming to do it in under 2 and a half hours and managed to do it in 2 hours 15 mins! I never thought I'd be able to run a full kilometre when I first started out and now I've done 21km! Stick with it and you can get there!

Thanks :-) I run 3-4 times a week and have been running regularly since February. I've been running on and off for about 6 years, but it's been pretty sporadic, 4 weeks training before a 10k and then I'd give it up. Something clicked this year and am feeling great!

I use points, so all fruit would be zero points made into a smoothie? Of course counting yogurt/milk etc

Yeah, so just blended fruit and water makes a really nice one. Use bananas to make it creamier. Tinned fruit is pointed though unless its in juice and you drain the juice

I've to do the same in a few weeks too. I'm thinking mashed potatoes, soup, etc. You should check about smoothies because I'm not sure you can have seeds

Melon, banana honey and yogurt might work? It might be very sweet! I'm struggling to think of what I can eat for points! Maybe spaghetti bolognaise?

All i can think of is rice, and rice pudding. Or mash, but im trying to look for other options other then mash cause i hate it haha! I think maybe noodles broken up into small pieces might work too.
