Blackburn agree an £8 million fee with Huddersfield for Jordan Rhodes,

    £4.5 million initially,

Delighted if this goes through tomorrow.

8 million for rhodes is a ridiculous amount for a player that is only proven at league 1 level, fair enough he looks a quality player but that is a ridiculous number. Huddersfield are the real winners here, good young squad with the likes of Clayton and Norwood in midfield, with this money they can add serious quality to the side, they could do well this year in the championship off the back of their squad and new found fortune

Pablo Hernandez reported to have signed for Swansea from Valencia for £5.5m

Swansea have had a good transfer window, despite losing Allen. Michu, Hernandez and Ki are all quality.

Del Piero possibly about to join Sion. Not where I would have expected him to end up to be honest. Gattusso is there now as well. Do they have lots of money or something?

Del Piero also held talks with Sydney FC overnight about a possible move to Australia.

ADP is also being linked with Spurs and Celtic.

Him at Celtic would be bloody epic.

I'd love to see him at Celtic tbh, the experience and what other players, we've a very young squad, could learn from him on and off the field would be immense. One of my favourite players ever is just the icing on the cake!

    EDIT

On a side note, had to lol at this
    Dan Walker ‏@mrdanwalker

Also, Celtic are in the CL & Modric wins a medal after 10 minutes at Madrid!

I'd say the only thing that would bring him to Cletic would be the CL footie to be honest.

You say it like its not a big thing. Its more than Spurs can offer anyway.;)

Well its hardly the weather or the thoughts of bussing it up to Inverness & Ross County :pac:

Spurs give him the chance to play in a top league and could offer him much more money.

He dropped some hints that he would like to play in the J-League, after playing in a charity match there last month.

Not a Celtic jersey, but he looks alright in hoops.

I'd say getting gametime would be hugely important to him too though given that the clock is ticking on his career. He has a far better chance of being first choice at Celtic than at Spurs.

I'd hate him to end up at Celtic.

Apparently the options are them, Sion, Sydney, Spurs and Braga.

He did have great things to say about playing against Celtic and playing at Celtic Park in his book.

I hope to wake up tomorrow morning to him doing a medical!

    Why so?

I like Del Piero and don't like Celtic

This for me too. An all-time legend would be ruined in my memory.

This, I'd prefer he retire than go there!

Ugh, Del Piero playing for Celtic would be like George Orwell deciding he'd like a go at writing for the Daily Mail before putting his pen down.

Be like Shakespeare scripting a series of two and a half men

He would get a fair amount of game time at Spurs if he came, we've a serious lack of strikers.

And what would going to LA Galaxy, Sion or Sydney FC be like?

Sipping Moët out of Kate Beckinsale's belly button instead of slurping Dutch Gold out of Jonny Vegas' arsecrack.

Drinking Moët instead of Dutch Gold.

You should pop down to the local hardware store to get some sandpaper for that chip on your shoulder!

The A-League & MLS are not better than the SPL. Celtic can offer UCL football, Sion cant.

Your analogy smells like piss! :pac:

Juventus have been involved in all sorts of controversial match-fixing shenanigans over the past couple of years. I dislike Celtic too, but I can't see how leaving a corrupt and morally bankrupt outfit like Juve for Celtic would lessen one's respect for a legend like Del Piero.
